That would cost them as much as $6 million before he coaches an official down for them. They already hired a new OC. He’s not taking a demotion on the fly. They would have to buy him out of his $1 mil/year deal. Then they would have to pay Weiss’ with us and match the $2.5 mil/year salary. And all that likely gets him back for only one year. They have a guy who knows this offense and was successful running it at ECU. If they stab him in the back now, he’ll never go back there.
