Same shite at the start of every year. A bunch of excitement builds from those that can’t see the forest from the trees. O sucks. He’s a bonehead and he’ll never be the answer. 4 losses at least.

Was 8 wins in 2001 acceptable in a 11 game schedule?
Sure
9 could be acceptable this year under the right circumstances, correct?
However, 9 might not be if some teams turn out to be weaker than predicted and we stumble past them only to lose three via blowouts.
How can anyone pass judgment before we see a game?

What are the "right circumstances"? Tough schedules for LSU aren't anything new and Les never got such benefit of the doubt for them. If he had, he'd probably still be coaching out his contract.

You make it seem like Orgeron was just hired and he's never been a head coach before.
The whole premise of Alleva's grand experiment was to get us back into championship conversations "very fast", in the words of Orgeron. Nine wins won't cut it, no matter how the schedule plays out. If that's going to be acceptable now, then it was pointless to change head coaches in the first place.

You mean the 2001 that was the the 2nd winning season in a row after 2 losing seasons where we won 7 games total? The 2001 that was only the 5th winning season in 13 years? The 2001 where 8-3 5-3 got us in the SECCG for the first time ever. The 2001 where we won our first SEC title in 13 years and ended with 10 wins and a top 10 ranking? Is that the 2001 you mean?
