I’d like to see the statistics but most recent LSU grads end up in Houston/DFW/Austin.

I’ve got a huge friend group in DFW that are all LSU grads within the last ten or so years.

I live in the Houston area and any time an LSU team plays close to here, I try to go to the game. It is a rare treat compared to my friends in Baton Rouge who can see multiple games throughout the year.

It's really nice not having to make a 10 hour round trip and I can sleep in my own bed after the game.

I'm not defending him. I think he should be fired. I also think the McHaters should shut up with their incessant whining. McMahon has had his opportunity and failed to deliver. But I still back the team and want them to win. I can recognize that a close road loss to Texas is a good effort without thinking it gives McMahon a reprieve from the chopping block. Some of you hate McMahon so much you'd actually prefer to see LSU get blown out every game. We must endure countless McMoral victory threads mocking the hard effort by the players. I'm neither a McMan nor a McHater, I'm simoly an LSU fan in all things and all sports.

You just made an admirable statement. I'm serious about that.

However, there comes a point in time, especially with this arse hat, when the worst thing that can happen is him pulling a rabbit or two out of the hat, and convincing people like you that maybe he needs another year.

HELL NO!!! He needs to be removed, and then we need to move heaven and earth to get Wade back here.

It was DEPRESSING watching NC state HUMILIATE UNC last night, knowing that would be happening here had we stood behind his arse.

I don't hate McMahon. I hate that he is our "coach ". And quite frankly he's made a lot of money here and should be able to handle the slings and arrows shot his way for his piss poor performance.

It's called a "Brain Drain." It's very real and exposes Louisiana's inability to keep its best citizens from fleeing to Texas due to lack of opportunity here. Houston, the Metroplex, even San Antonio boast huge numbers of Louisiana grads who have made "home" elsewhere. Been going on for decades. No end in sight.

I endured 23 years as a Tiger fan living in Austin.Local.sport talk radio was insufferable to listen to particularly during football season.I called in to the station as Tiger Mike.
One morning I told my favorite on the air:

What is is the difference between a Coonass and a Jackass?

Answer : The Sabine River !

Houston has a fantastic and engaged LSU alumni chapter. Heck there were 25,000 Tiger fans in attendance at the Dec. 27 TEXAS bowl to see a BAD LSU team play a meaningless game. However, the biggest roar of the Tiger crowd was pregame-- Lane's entry into the huge NRG Stadium, with his entourage.

Way more LSU alum in these two cities than in Austin for some reason. Austin and San Antonio doesn’t seem to attract recent LSU graduates like Houston/DFW.

Yeah austin is more a tech hub. Not many I knew went to Austin besides for tech sales. Everyone in finance or engineering that goes to Houston or Dallas.
