Because whatever he says, especially if reinstated will be made public.

Now he has created a story that the defense attorney in the criminal proceeding will use as a roadmap to attempt to discredit him and set a trap for perjury.

The defense attorney who released this tape is trying to show that his client is not the bad person and is being unfairly prosecuted. He is trying to show the real bad guys are the schools, coaches, NCAA and shoe companies who are profiting and participants in this. His goal is to make coaches like Wade look bad.

You don’t hem yourself into a story with prior statements that can be used Against you and investigated before you testify so that a perjury trap can be set for you.

All of this. None of the people involved in this process have Will Wade's best interest in mind.

That's not a fact Lester, that's what's called a "narrative."

The NCAA wants to prove that they're needed. Simple as that. If they hand out sanctions, then that demonstrates (at least to them) that they're needed.

They do not have LSU's interests at heart.

Your problem is you assume too much and have based your argument from a false assumption. Wade didn’t alter the original terms of the meeting the admin did by including the NCAA when it didn’t need to. Wade’s representation has advised against him discussing the case with the NCAA which is perfectly normal. If the Admin alone would’ve wanted to meet with Wade like everyone els did this would’ve been resolved that first day. Wade isn’t holding up the process LSU is and that’s the part you’re wrong about.

Right.

Like the way LSU protected Wade during the 1st leak? Even publicly stating that the NCAA was NOT investigating Will Wade even when all the big media outlets were reporting they were on campus?

What you are saying makes zero sense as usual

Link? Not saying you’re lying but I’ve never seen reports that the NCAA was on campus investigating Wade after the first leak. I read that the FBI was here but not the NCAA.

Your willful ignorance in how a federal investigation works and why Wade speaking to the NCAA is a no-win situation for him regardless of his culpability.

You began this by playing the contrarian to the torch and pitchfork crowd who just want to be mad at Alleva and the NCAA, which is fine, but you been doubling and tripling down ever since that you will not lend any credence to the other side of the coin. Combine that with your lack of basic knowledge needed for how this situation works.

You have had no leg to stand on for sometime and basically just want to disagree with the popular opinion. It's pathetic.

My fault, it was before the 1st leaks. I think it had been reported that Will Wade was on tape, but the content was not known yet. It was in FEB of last year when the report came out.

Report:

quote:

Members of the NCAA enforcement staff have spent parts of the past six months looking into the recruiting tactics of LSU coach Will Wade, according to three sources with direct knowledge of the situation.

NCAA enforcement officials have done work both on the phone and in person to look into Wade, including traveling around the country, to learn more about his recruiting.

Alleva:

quote:

In responding to the allegations in the Yahoo Sports story on Friday, Alleva said in a statement: “While LSU has not been contacted by federal, league or NCAA officials, we can confirm a proactive and voluntary examination of current coaches and players was conducted by compliance officials and outside legal counsel in the Fall of 2017. That examination found the program in full compliance with NCAA, SEC and University rules and regulations. LSU will continue to monitor basketball and other athletic programs for NCAA and SEC rules compliance.”

I understand why Will Wade is not meeting with LSU and have said this repeatedly.

Got anything else?

BTW, people do not get as upset as they have if there is not truth to what I am saying. The worst comes out in people when its not what they want to hear. And it gets frustrating trying to debate facts. Human nature.

Well for starters, you've been calling it a "council". That doesn't make you look good.
