Must have memory problems. Fournette last year was 4th in the nation in TD and 3rd in total yards with 2 less games than Derrick Henry and 1 less than everyone else because of the canceled McNeese game...with a terrible passing game to take pressure off of him

Must have comprehension problems. Nobody is doubting that he is one of the most talented and productive players we've ever had. He's a great player but if you can't see that he's not the "leader" that the team needs him to be then you haven't been watching the games. Especially with the turmoil that has been this season, when the cream should rise to the top, he's sitting on the bench sulking. Maybe it's because he's hurt and wishes he was out there and that's what has him down, but from the outside looking in he seems to have his mind elsewhere and isn't acting the way you would expect a leader to act.

Trust me. NFL scouts are paying attention to on to his demeanor on the sidelines. Chemistry is huge and RB position is a dime a dozen.

Usually when there is a leg injury, it's best to stay off of it

Saturday night he was hiding on the bench.

From what I saw Sat night, when the offense was in the game he was standing on the sidelines watching. When the offense was off the field he was near the RBs on the sidelines.

I didn't watch him the entire game. When I did watch him that's what I saw.

You know how I know you never played sports?

I'm sure it was killing him that he couldn't get in the game to contribute and help his team win. He's a competitor and competitors HATE having to sit on the sidelines. I'm sure if it were up to him he would have said frick his ankle injury and let me suit up...

Besides, did you watch the game or did you just follow LF7 around the entire game and analyze his every breath?
No, you probably just saw Leonard when the camera was on him. The media loves to stir the pot and of course they're going to put the camera on him when he looks down or upset. What was he doing the rest of the game? You don't know.

Honestly, it's far better for him to be seated. To stand for hours on TWO injured ankles while trying to expedite healing is not smart.

He loves this team and they were man-handling Mizzou. Back off.

He has been vocal about wanting to play. He has played hurt all year until last week when he hurt his other ankle. You are acting like he has mentally checked out and that is completely unfounded.

I doubt Fournette will be 100% this year. High ankle sprains need surgery or a long time to heal naturally.

unless you are LF you have no idea if this is true or not. I am sure he envisioned being in the Heisman hunt again along with competing for the playoffs...once those 2 things are taken away it is reasonable to think "why should I risk injury". Anyone who disagrees with this is not being honest with themselves. No way LF should play on bum ankles when he will not improve his draft status by doing so.

Yea both my ankles are hurt but let me stand up for 3+hours or jump up and down on them. Bunch of freaking drama queens on here.

Maybe his ankle hurt and he needed to sit down? High ankle sprains can be painful.

If it has to be, I wouldnt be mad if he has to sit until Ole Piss or Bama... We gonna need him to be healthy for the back end of that schedule

Just kidding. Great to see the others stepping up, gives great hope for the future.

But Leonard is a once in a decade talent when healthy.

As for the comments on his perceived lack of leadership its absurd to make value judgments on a couple of camera shots . Just because a player is not jumping around making a spectacle does not mean he is not influencing his teammates. Every star is not like Jarvis Landry or the Honey Badger.

Guice has a career rushing average of 8.6 yards per carry in almost 100 attempts. Pretty insane numbers right there. If LF is not at least 90%, keep sitting him.

And yet in your first post you made conjectures about his internal feelings.
