It is entertaining how many people on this thread simply don't get it. The people that fired Wade and refused last year to rehire him are gone, and were run out of town fairly unceremoniously. The people that supported him at McNeese are now in charge. More importantly, the Governor who is very clearly influencing decisions in the athletic department would strongly support the hire. One particular BOS member that has been mentioned in this thread will strongly support an attempt to hire Wade.
None of this means that we are definitively going to hire Wade, but you would be an idiot if you don't think the people that supported him a year ago will not aggressively go after him once McMahon is out (it is no longer if, but when, as the wheels to that decision are already in motion). He may tell us no, but the job will be his should he want it. More importantly, the commitment from the administration, both in his pay and player pay will be significant. The offer to him will definitely be more than he is making at NCST. Of course, that doesn't mean it wouldn't be matched in Raliegh. A lot of moving parts between now and April 2, 2026.

So what wouldWade do any better? NC State is 12-5 and LSU is 12-4. If you want a new coach get an upgrade not a virtual lateral.

You really can’t be that stupid, can you?
NCST’s 12-5 has them solidly in the tournament for most projections as an 8 to 10 seed, with a 5-4 record against Q1 and Q2 teams.
LINK
LSU on the other hand has a 12-4 record and by nearly every major projection is not in the tournament. It has 1 win over any team in Q1 and Q2, and in fact has only beaten one team with sub 100 NET.
LINK
Comparing the records of these two teams, without actually looking at who they play shows how ignorant you really are on this subject

They do not watch or follow basketball

Add yourself to that number. Wade will not be returning to LSU!

Wade ain't coming back. You can't be so galacticly stupid that you think he will. BTW getting into the tournament and getting knocked out quick is as bad as not getting in. So how many nattys has wade won? You don't have to look it up, it's the same total as McNugget....0
So if you're going to kick the current coach, get an upgrade.

Yeah, WW always had that computer nerd helping him schedule smartly and effectively to help with NET. We played what? 2 top 100 NET teams OOC?
Context is important here.

Is it as bad as going 14 and MOTHERFLUCKING 43 in SEC play??????

The infatuation with Wade should be studied.

Hell then, I'm cool with doing away with basketball altogether and paying for a new LSU Chess program .

You misspelled winning.

Men’s Basketball can be self sustaining. Being good at basketball wouldn’t take away from football or baseball. Now girls basketball is the one that takes money from other sports if you want to prioritize.
