quote:So according to you there is no reason for a good coach to have a rebuilding stretch after his first season. You do realize this is not pro football and every year is a different team. You see what happened at USC and OU this year when they had to turn to an unproven undercalssman at QB. I guess those coaches suck too.
1st year of a rebuilding project is not year 4 and 5 of a well-oiled machine (that another coach built for you)

SFP using an AWESOME 2 game sample!!!
EPIC FAIL!!
Nevermind the championship season, 2 seasons finishing #2, 1 bad season, and current season ranked #8, it's a failure cause we struggled in 2 games out of 5 years that we lost.
Awesome logic.

And they refuse to acknowledge that things are shaping up VERY WELL for 2010, which most rational fans pointed to as our year to really challenge for titles before this season anyway.
Yea, ALL those key players we're losing, we don't need any of em.

I don't see how anyone who says that the winningest coach in LSU history is a bad hire. It's not rational.

Well, it's really the best 5 yr winning % in LSU history, but you are right bout it not being "rational".
Thing is, some LSU fans don't use a rational thought process when talkin' LSU football. I mean how rational is it to even bring up possible replacements for a coach who has finished in the top 5 three times and as of today has a chance to finish in the top 10 4 or 5 yrs he has been here???? That too would be the best in LSU history.
You can only smile and

I find it hilarious that some people actually try to argue that Les Miles is not a good coach.
their ignorance is truly sad, yet funny.

Geezzzzzzzz, wake up and smell the coffee. Do you think any team winning a national title in anything doesn't have some good fortune fall their way.
It doesn't matter how you do it, only that you do it. It's called taking advantage of what comes your way.
What WE did to EARN the title was to go 5-0 against teams who finished the yr in the top 15. Not other school had close to that record against those same top 15 teams. That's the reason we got into the game and the reason we finished #1 in all the polls, even the AP.

I think some fans think that LSU has such a superior talent edge that they should steamroll everyone except Florida and Alabama. The other team has 85 full scholarships to offer as well. The fact still remains that Lester wins a whole lot. The record proves it. The problem is that LSU fans are obsessed with Saban and they allow Saban to stay in their little heads all year long, especially when he beats Miles. It confirms all their preconceived notions. Miles would have to lose five or more games this year and next for anybody to consider buying him out before the end of 2012.

Who gives a damn ? We were the 2007 National Champion. There's no asterik next to it because it didn't meet SFP's standards.
You are being rantarded trying to minimize the 2007 title season for a reason to knock Miles. If you want to start on with 2008 and the struggles on offense in '09 ,fine. You look silly bashing the BCS champion.

I seriously questioned his hire. Doubted him often since. But I like his risks on occassion. Dislike some of his hires.
He is baffeling. I can't figure that unpredictable SOB out.
But he IS a good person, a players coach and a good boss to his krew.
Other than that, I'm wondering WTF he does next.

I don't intend to bash anyone associated with LSU.
I will simply and closely scrutinize LSU's Won-Loss record in football against Florida and Bammer since 2005 inclusive. In two or three more seasons, I believe examination of this metric will resolve all disputes with regard to the efficacy of the current LSU coaching regime.
I have hit the nail on the head again, right?
(seriously, ain't i right? )
