Burroughs would be a 5 pitch inning by us at the plate following a 6 run outburst by the other team.

I would be less upset about Burroughs than Bianco.

Burroughs is at least still on the upward side of his career.

That's right we pull the old Oregon State coach...totally in the shadows.

Nah, leave him be. He was clearly on a ‘role.’

Godwin is interesting to me.

That guy can coach.

Everywhere he has been they've won.

He can recruit and coach hitting.

True. But I would still melt because it means we deviated from the company line on here about certain coaches being a flash in the pan, and in Burroughs case it would be several notches down in conference strength.

Yeah, the spin here from the people dismissing a currently successful SEC coach in a similar recruiting situation to LSU would be out of fricking control.

I’m just afraid we’re going to settle for some mid 50s guy with no fire and give them the type of payday that removes all incentive to try.

Maybe it's Corbin
Would not trust him trying to bring in players when he can't offer Vandy's education for free.

Actually with only 11.7 scholarships for the entire baseball roster, it would seem that places like Vandy & Stanford (among others with $$$ tuition) would be at a decided disadvantage. Or does anyone really pay anything at all with slick donations? An education on how this works at high tuition schools would be appreciated.

Vandy only uses baseball money for freshmen. Then after a year of being independent financially from their parents, they put them on the need based financial aid. There aren’t a lot of tuition paying players on the Vandy roster.

Being a private school they can give financial aid in lots of different ways that allows players on the team to not pay much if anything.

It's Sully's job to lose. The background vetting will be the key factor at this point

What's even worse is if it is Bianco he's going to get the Woodward treatment of a 6 yr - $25 million contract or something retarded.
