Daniel Dickinson.

It's pretty much official now. Dickinson on board. He's our starting SS or 3B from what I've read.

I guess that answers our 3B question

LFG. Would be nice to see the speed that got those 32 SBs utilized for the Tigers next year

Yep, immediate plug and play at leadoff as well. 32SB last year with pop. Jay loves a leadoff who can XBH.

Yea Monster at 2nd, Braswell at short, he goes to third
Maybe could switch Braswell and monster to help Braswell cut down on errors and hide his lack of range

I'd love to get him back. Maybe part of the sell is for him to show his true defensive prowess to go along with his improved bat skills

Braswell for sure back?
No, probably 50/50 draft risk

I would as well, he made huge leaps at the plate.
We also saw Tommy tanks improve his D while here so Braswell could do the same.

Dickinson had a .363 BA, 172 hits, 27 HR’s, 95 RBI’s, 42 SB’s last two seasons.

Here is my WAY too early Lineup predictions:
C: Blaise Priester
1B: Eddie Yamin
2B: Tanner Reeves
SS: Monster Milam
3B: Danny Dickinson
LF: Derek Curiel
CF: Chris Stanfield
RF: Ashton Larson
DH: Luis Hernandez
Next Up:
Ethan Frey 1B/OF/C/DH
Dalton Beck OF/DH
Josh Pearson OF/2B
Jake Brown OF/1B
We *SHOULD* be able to find 9 good hitters from that pool of players.
Pitching Wise:
Fri: Chase Shores
Sat: Jacob Mayer (assuming he throws strikes)
Sun: Zac Cowan
RP: Griffin Herring (might start)
RP: Kade Anderson (might start)
RP: Gavin Guidry
RP: Chandler Dorsey
RP: Devin Sheeran
RP: Luke Hayden
RP: Jayden Noot (not sure if he is still on the team?)
RP: Conor Benge
Also seems like we *SHOULD* be able to find 3 reliable starters and 5-7 or so reliable bullpen arms in this group as well,
Not a lot of proven talent on this level of baseball but a TON of potential and a TON of guys that have the ability to step up. I love that Jay isn't guaranteeing spots and every spot is seemingly up for grabs with multiple guys that could fill in. Catcher is the only position where it seems somewhat concerning but even still we have 4 guys on the roster that could potentially catch.

Hes a stud for sure but hes not our answer at 3B. The reason he projects more as a 2B (and why hes played their mostly for UVU and USA) is because his arm isnt a strength.

It's been interesting to watch the evolution of his roster building.
In year 1 he inherited a lot of young, talented players from the 2021 team, and supplemented them with a few key transfers.
In year 2 those young players were now experienced, great veteran players. He supplemented those guys with a few star transfers (notably Skenes and White) en route to a national championship.
In year 3 he signed a highly rated freshman class. He relied upon them, some holdovers from 2023, and less key transfers outside of really just Holman and Jump. That team got hot late, but for a large chunk of the season was trending towards one of the worst LSU teams in 3 decades.
Going into 2025 is looks like he has adjusted his approach again. He'll still sign a good HS class, but several members of last year's HS class have left. He seems to be largely turning over the roster via the portal. Probably more so than in any year he's been at LSU.
It will be interesting to see if this is a one year aberration because of a poor season and (probably to some degree) unexpected loss of young players? Or if he now feels HS prospects are more unreliable in terms of their ability to contribute early and/or willingness to be developed over the course of 3 years, thus leading him to rely on transfers more?

I believe he came out and said it's like having a team one year at a time now.

As long as they turn out better than the last top tier freshman pitcher from last season.
