Don't go down that road. Benford had the most experience and is the obvious choice as interim.
You seem to be missing the point.
You’re saying that Benford being the most qualified is evidence against the idea that Williams did this for racial reasons.
But actually, IF Williams wanted a black head coach, then Benford being the most qualified to take over is all the more reason for Williams to step in and force them to suspend Wade.
That said, I would like to see some evidence before I buy into the idea that Williams stepped in for racial reasons.

Did you not see the OP's link? That's what I responded to. So... I referenced my link, where's yours?

believe every board of supervisors meeting is recorded. Not audio. But transcripts are kept.
Seems absurd to ask Wade to do that given the current situation. This was designed to fail.
Honestly, which situation? The stuff they want to talk about is public. They don’t want to ask him about the trial. They want to talk about LSU. Why can’t Will Wade talk about LSU?

Once again Alleva appears to be an empty suit.

Why not just post your actual link to whatever it is you're claiming?

So you want to go into a meeting with the AD and a half a dozen lawyers and the AD peppering you with questions without legal representations?
You can’t read, can you?
That’s exactly what I just said.

If Wade having his Lawyer there was a deal breaker for LSU, that’s not right.
I tend to lean towards the fact he wanted prepared questions being the deal breaker, though. Having representation there seems rather normal.
If this story is true, one or both of those were deal breakers obviously.
I think it is a little shortsighted on LSU's part to not understand that due to the subpoena, Wade is in a spot where he must balance protecting himself and the university.
It is foolish to not at least have this meeting under these conditions to start. What would it hurt?
Posted on 3/13/19 at 8:31 am to Byrdybyrd05
So you're telling me we have a black Got Gordon calling the shots basically at LSU. Excellent.

That's an absurd deal breaker from LSU's perspective. What logical reason do they have for not allowing that?
Because with prepared questions you get prepared answers. LSU does not get to the bottom of anything that way.

Will wade is an employee, NOT the boss.
WTF is wrong with people today? If this would be a suck arse coach like j jones, you same cocksuckers would be cheering that he was suspended and possibly fired for refusing to show up when his boss demanded it.
Allevas actions are both appropriate and commendable.
So we had a good year. So f'ing what!
Nothing, and i mean zero of this entire situation has a positive in it about Wade. Wsde did this, NO ONE else.
He wants questions..i have one. Who do you think you are you little prick, besides the fricking moron that has our LSU on the verge of NCAA sanctiins and loss of scholarships and eligibility, all because you're too stupid to walk and chew gum, much less arrange a bribery scheme?

From his BOS Bio:

In 2014, Williams represented Dorian Johnson who was with Michael Brown when he was killed by police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri. That same year, he successfully represented then-United States Senator Mary Landrieu in a challenge to her residency.

In case people were wondering what dots you were talking about. Though I honestly don't think you are correct about the interem being the driver. From the little I know, there was really only one good choice for interim and that is who got it. You want continuity and Tony was the most qualified guy on staff, I think. My knowledge is admittedly suspect.

LSU should respect his fbi issue and let it unfold.
The ncaa isn’t pursuing anything.
This is absurd they can’t just be patient and let it play out before rushing to judgement.

And does coach get NCAA sanctions when caught or does school? Is coach allowed to move on and leave sanctions a school's doorstep?
all the more reason why the school should be fighting these allegations, and I say allegations loosely since there is no investigation into the school as of yet. What happened is in the past, and they can't change it. Firing the coach won't make the crimes go away, and the upcoming ncaa sanctions. Fighting the allegations and making them prove it, like every other school with a brain does, can make those sanctions never happen.
