Prolly needs to retire if he wins Natl Title

Come on dude... Why even ask the question.
If Miles wins out he is the national champion. Well, let me see...sure keep the SOB!!!
I am very critical of Les, more so after he almost lost another to MSU when the game was in control, but his change of first half scheme in play calling almost backfired again. Remember last year MSU could have beat us with that late FG. I want him gone but from your thread title, which makes me laugh.......
However, if he wins out it will be painful and hard to watch but I'll take it and sure, Les can stay after going 14-1 and winning a natty.

Really? You'd keep him after he won a natty? I don't believe it!
At least half of the posters here would bitch about how lucky he was
Nope. Everyone would be on the Les bandwagon because he WON. You pumpers are more concerned with his WANT to WIN rather than his ability to. Dont blame the Negatigers, Realists, or whatever you call us for Les' complete lack of competence.

If we win the title, do you actually believe we would get rid of him? That's a silly analogy, we get rid of our coach who just won? Hahaha are you for real?

I would die laughing at the apoplectic rants we'd see when that news broke.

This year will prove to me if les can still be successful. Even since 2012 during our downturn we have still won as much as anyone n sec except for Saban

All I'm saying is that everyone seems to like what we've seen from LSU since Etling took over at QB.
Imagine having a balanced, dynamic offense six years in a row. That's what we could have in Scott, Brennan and Narcisse. At least one of the three will pan out and continue what we've seen from LSU's under Mett, Russell, Flynn and Etling.
Aranda's D will be elite sooner than later.
Miles built all that and finally seems to have fixed the QB recruiting problem. Why risk that degree of success and dominance by replacing a coach with someone who may not even be better and could be a lot worse?
Our program is in great shape right now. If we had beaten Wisconsin there would be a vastly different narrative right now.

Care to explain what feels different?
LSU survived a bad team nearly coming back from 2+ TDs down in the last 5 or so minutes.
Sloppy ball in the second half and 3 points scored total.

Everything is an "if" if he win out if he win title . Stop with if and look at reality it will take act of god for this team go undefeated the rest of the way .
Posted on 9/21/16 at 6:32 pm to stevenn1968
It's also an "if" that we'll lose any more games. That cloth cuts both ways.

He would very obviously be retained if he won a natty or even an SEC championship. We would be the laughing stock of the nation if he was fired after that.
The problem is next year. He is very much past his prime and not able to play up to competition. I would have very little confidence that he would ever over-perform, which should happen every few years.

We did not beat Wisconsin, can't live on ifs.
We could have easily lost to MS.
Jacksonville State put up a lot of offense on our defense.
We are not in great shape.

Imagination is what it takes to pretend we will have a dynamic offense. QB play has improved we are competitive but far from great or dynamic. Les will need to win the SEC to make me believe he can change enough to get us where we should be. Lets see how he does. At least I am not holding my breath on every offensive play now that DE is in.

I like Etling but let's be real here.
We got the same feeling when lee finally took over.
Same for mett.
Same for Harris.
Now Etling.
It's not the QB...

Duh? Of course keep him. Bigger question is what if we win out except bama, miss out on the west again and go to a good bowl? Lose two more and he should be gone for sure.
