i hear ya. the coaches seem to have something in their heads with that. i think it was the UK game, keiland had a run, got tackled and the ball popped out after he was down by contact. it was ruled down immediately, no fumble obviously but they benched Keiland for the rest of the game and used Murphy to run all the Keiland plays.

I think Miles may have proven himself above criticism in certain areas--hiring assistants, starting QBs(so far), etc...--but RB substitutions is not one of them. There have been some real head-scratchers the last 2 years.

I've taken the "anti" Keiland side the last year to basically try to posit explanations as to his lack of p.t. and just to play devil's advocate sometimes, but he definitely gets me more excited than the other 2. I root for the other 2 mainly due to their being from NLA and me seeing them a bit in high school rather than what they've actually done in games. And because they play at LSU.

A) Fumbling. He scares me to death the way he holds the ball.

B) He rarely makes the first guy miss.

I don't believe KW has a fumble problem. The back who gets the most time on the field is the guy who does more things well. Read the story in The Advocate about Scott's attitude for the upcoming season. He has to block, protect the quarterback, hit the right hole with the proper timing. When the play breaks down make every effort to make it a success. Does that sound like Hester? Scott thinks so.

Maybe what keeps him from being the number 1 back is the fact that CS, RM, and TH are just to good to leave on the sidelines. I love being able to work in backs the whole game who could all be starters. That's a great problem to have.

Is there some little known secret about Keiland Williams that keeps him from establishing himself as No.1Tailback?

Ask clueless RANTards a question, and they will give you a clueless answer.

If you have come here looking for facts, you have come to the wrong place.

I dont know why people here think that kw has a fumbling problem.

because a lot of fans are dumb and constantly need something to bitch about. and the first thing they thought of was KW puttin the ball on the ground one time. and there you go, you have a fumble problem.

That play is Lache's favorite from last year. He watches that play over and over just saying "Dang" over and over.

First, let me say that I think KW is our best back. I think he's better than Scott and Murphy. He is incredibly explosive and can take any play the distance.

Having said that, he's not the perfect back. Many in this thread have not recognized or acknowledged the fact that he misses the hole too often. He bounces it outside too much on plays when the blocking is actually there.

I think this is the biggest issue the coaching staff has with him. I don't think it is fumbling. Like everyone has said, he just hasn't fumbled much.

They are all equally talented and all need to see the field ala USC backfield.

listening to Miles at Media Day, there is certainly some issue with KW. It seems that Miles is continually trying to send him a message, not sure if it is focus, work ethic or what, but there's no doubt something is there...

is this what your talking about
No, he's okay in space he's just not a run-over you type of back; whereas, Scott is. Keiland runs away, Scott runs ova. Not trying to slam Keiland, I worked with his HS coaches wife and liked him since we landed him.

WOW, I saw a post about KW fumbleing problem and was going to put up a fail picture. Then I saw where someone was speculating about practice and one person even said he couldn't make the first guy miss , then I saw them say practice doesn't matter then there was the comparison to Hester and the guy who said RM is the #1 guy.

I hereby certify this thread:

He does seem to fumble at the worst time which sits him on the bench. He is a gamer though. There is no #1 guy for us. They will split carries and each guy will have his day.

That's Larry Porter doing some of that baffling substitution bullshite, it isn't Miles. Of course, Miles could overrule him if he wanted to so he's indirectly responsible.

why don't you give one example of him fumbling the ball in a game in his entire career?
