Being up all night, arriving at 5 am, crawling into your own bed by 630?

Not to mention with these conferences now spread all across the country there will be lots of jet lag and tired teams. New excuse for losing?

Most people don’t understand that traveling to an away game of that distance is much harder as a college football team than pro. Even as a blue blood.
The players bodies get absolutely wrecked and then they are essentially folded in half to fit on an airplane. Not to mention that most college teams will fly home right after the game putting them back home in the early morning. Most of them likely didn’t get to sleep until 3-4am after getting back.
But there’s a day of rest on Sunday. Oh, no. That’s the time to catch up on all the work they missed and prep for the school week ahead in addition to a boat load of team meetings to analyze and prep.
I get it. Everyone deals with it. But it’s a real factor and 98 percent of the posters have zero idea.
All that to say: another reason to reconsider starting every year with these big neutral site matchups.

Who are all these 3 stars? 4 star Guillory? 4 star Jones? 5 star Womack? 5 star Ryan? 4 star Burns? 4 star Spears? 4 star Jackson? 4 star Gilbert? 4 star Shane? UGA commit Washington? 4 star Tovaino?

Also, Savion Jones was a 5 star on on3.

probably be best if you did. LSU is going to struggle bigtime in Kelly's third year, and it is ALL on him.....No reason whatsoever that we come out with zero energy in that game after losing our first game.

I think Kelly struggles with talent evaluation

If the HC said the players had tired legs then maybe they did. Shouldn’t be bc of the Vegas flight but they could’ve been tired. How would we know?

gtfo with that bs....I remember when I could party all night and be good the next day. Now days, if I do tie one on, it takes 3 days to recover. This is absolute bs and not surprised with the soft culture we have coming up.

Totally agree and LSU is in position because of Orgeron! He turned his back on LSU as player and as a coach!

And would be better entertainment with hot chicks on the sidelines. His mother could be a special intern on the sideline too. And what about Bobby Boucher? After the game I heard he was ready to leave Nicholls and transfer to LSU.

They are 18-22 years old… cry me a river. They don’t know what tired is at that age

I've made some posts about it before but will again. 3 stars across the entire DB and DL will not win you football games. We have to recruit better there. Used to have the pick of the litter there in past.
I'll add to that, we got Mizzou's DC and we have Mizzou level talent, not LSU level talent on D. The reasons are many and varied, not withstanding what was inherited but also staff hiring mistakes on that side of the ball that put us behind. Now Guillory being out at a very thin position makes things worse.
I think the staff hiring mistakes were mostly corrected, but the damage it did on the recruiting on that side can't be fixed overnight and this year is over night unfortunately. It's not fixed.

If we had stepped for transfers we might have fixed it this year.
It’s a tough spot you go all in on transfers and you end up like FSU, you don’t get any and your staff can’t recruit you end up with a great staff having a terrible year and because we aren’t winning enough people are pissed.

Kelly, "we tired"
Not trying to be a hater but in camp when Kelly talked about "ramping up" their outside exposure by practicing outside for 30 minutes a day the first week and then 45 minutes a day the next and so on to work into being outside I knew we were gonna be in trouble as far as conditioning. One huge advantage you have in Louisiana is that you get to practice in the fires of hell so your team is in better condition than any other. Kelly dropped the ball on that advantage by staying inside too often.
Posted on 9/9/24 at 8:13 am to Mandtgr47
That’s by recruiting services - Kelly has nothing to do with it

He's tired already...never say your players were to tired for excuses. Good grief. He is in way over his head.
