Riiight.

After seeing Mulkey coach in the NCAA tourney this year, there is nothing that shows her competitive desire has diminished. Add to that, a move to LSU, which has always made a half-assed commitment to basketball, would mean rebuilding, or just building, a program that is tied with softball for fifth on the athletic department's food chain behind FB, MBB, BB and gymnastics.

So, sure, Mulkey wants to take a step back program-wise, leave a bunch of money on the table, come to LSU and fade into the sunset. I mean, if you say so.

One of the main reasons to hire Mulkey to put WBB back on the map would be the benefits it gives to the rest of the Athletic Dept. A winning program builds excitement in other sports.

A winning women's basketball program and a major talent like Mulkey would give added push for TAF and the state to improve both the basketball training facility and the PMAC!!!

If Mulkey is interested, enthusiastic, and ready to build the women's bb program to a national contender, let's see if we can come to an agreement!!

I said I doubt she comes.

I said it’s doubtful but idk where her priorities are.

It’s not like LSU CANT be good at women’s basketball.

LSU fans support winning teams. WBB during their Final Four runs were selling out the PMAC. Gymnastics is still doing that.

True, but the tickets aren’t priced like they are for the men’s sport’s. Tickets are cheaper for WBB than MBB. Tickets for Gymnastics are cheap too.

Interest is there, but how much would these fans pay and still come?

Nope. Nope, no reason LSU can't be good, but Baylor is great at it. They are already on the short list of national title contenders for next year so Mulkey is clearly not at the point where she is slowing down. Short of LSU throwing an unheard of amount of money at her, and even that might not be enough to get her to leave what she has built at Baylor, there is no way Mulkey is coming to LSU.

I was responding to someone saying she makes $2.3M and would need a substantial bump which would probably put her over $2.5M, you think?

I gotcha....my bad

That arena would be full if Mulkey is the coach. Men and women across the state know who she is.

I wouldn’t watch women’s basketball if they went undefeated for 30 yrs. Now a bunch of sexy girls half my age doing tic tok videos is a different story......

Isn't that Kramer's mom?

LSU should hire her immediately.
