Everything about this game screams LSU blowout. I just hope it isnt one of those weird games where Florida catches a lot of breaks and hangs around.

I dont see LSU playing bad but i could see florida getting lucky and getting big calls here or there. Stressful!

this will be a close and stressful game- you can count on it. They always are. Their d will be the toughest we’ve seen by far and our d while improving is not going to be a brick wall over night given how porous they have been prior to Utah state. I believe this game will be in doubt up to and possibly including the final minute.

I think our D will be fine and hopefully we get more QB pressure with Divinity & Lawrence back. You always have to watch for wrinkles from Sneaky Dan.
I'm always concerned about giving up big plays vs. the Gators, whether on D or special teams. Callaway a few years ago, Dubose with kick returns in the past. I'm sure we won't get caught in a mismatch on Swain like Auburn did. No big plays from them!

Hanny just noted that Trask is the least mobile quarterback LSU will have faced so far.

And with our guys coming back... Florida is fffuuuccckkkkeeedddd

Take away the poorly defended pass to Swain that turned into a 64 yard catch and run and he was basically 16-30 for 170 yards, took 4 sacks and fumbled twice while UF was 4-17 converting 3rd and 4th down. He also poses no running threat, even when healthy, which he is not. This will be his first 4th career start, his 1st on the road and in one of the most hostile environments in college football in a revenge game. Florida's rushing offense is #89 in the nation. I like our chances.

Pump the breaks. We said that about the Texas game too...

For once I’m not worried about that.

I think officiating will at worst be neutral or even :gasp: favor LSU.

Networks want undefeated LSU-Bama in a 1-2 matchup. If you don’t think this factors in to how games are officiated you’re kidding yourself.

Seriously. You thought all signs pointed to a blowout against Top 10 on the road with a QB that had 20/1 preseason Heisman odds?

Back-up injured QB playing for the first time in TS with 102,000 rattling his head. One returning starter on the fla. O-Line. LSU attacking this QB from all over the field creating mass confusion.

While all of this is obviously true, that does not mean that Aranda is going to automatically blitz the kitchen sink.

When Trask is in, I agree, the blitzes will flow. However, when Emery (sp?) is in, I can easily see rushing 4, and making him throw from the pocket.

I do recall DJ Shockley coming in the game against LSU as a TFR, and not being able to think straight at all. I hope the crowd is as loud as we were that day!

The only way LSU can lose this game is if their defense absolutely shuts us down. Anything at 21 points or less makes this interesting. There aren't many worlds where I see that happening. Especially if Marshall is back.

All true.

One thing I caution is that when you tell a talented team for a week that they have no shot to win, they almost always overperform.

That's not a good sign per se. Franks pwned LSU in two games as a starter.

Seriously, you think all signs point to a blowout against a top 10 team 1/3 of the way through the season?

You must must be new here if you didn't see the 40-10 predictions vs Texas.

I sure hope everyone is right about the pressure we are going to see on the Florida QB, because their certainly hasn't been much of a rush generated by our D-line thus far.

Exactly...we've looked pathetic rushing the QB so far this season...we don't blitz enough and if you give this backup QB time, he will find receivers to throw to. Aranda needs to bring a hell of lot more pressure than what he's shown so far.

I don't think Florida can score on the tigers.
