The W-P-W would be a great uniform for any school that has Purple and White as their colors.
White Helmets only with the All-White. (Gotta do something about those helmet and pants stripes though. They should match the shoulder stripes)

Go back and read the official policy on NCAA uniform color and you know what I mean-- the revised version written in 2019

The notion of a "curse" dates back to the Cholly Mac era when teams like Florida and Miami would deliberately, as home teams would choose to wear white. LSU then was put into purples, on the road, often as an underdog and would lose! Then, in the late-1980's early-1990's the NCAA MANDATED that home teams wear their dark jerseys-- Archer and Hallman eras-- and the losses mounted. The jerseys became known as "purple poison." Then after a brief hiatus from 1995-99, Nick Saban in 2000 as the new LSU boss reinstated the purple at home policy, but just for non-conf. games. LSU proceeded to be upset by UAB, and then it was CONFIRMED -- the gold-purple-gold combo uni was CURSED!

Now do we wear gold pants and helmets with these, which are cursed, or wear the more innocuous, but less attractive white helmets and pants?
I got a suggestion: let's compromise, and go gold helmets, purple jerseys and white pants-- a never before seen combination.

He is right unless something has changed. Prior to 80’s LSU wore white at home. Then for no reason the NCAA required home team to wear dark color thus LSU in purple at home throughout most of the 80’s. Dinardo got the exemption put in place whereby LSU could wear white with visiting opponents permission.

The NCAA policy is still in place. LSU must still petition opponents prior to the season opener what uniform they intent to wear for their home games.
So far only Vandy in 1996 and Oregon State in 2004 have refused LSU's petition to wear white jerseys at home
