Feel like 2000 Rohan to Royal against Tenn should’ve been in there somewhere. Watching Ro limp off the field after that throw brings the feels.
ETA: The 4th down stop was pretty great too.

That single was the loudest moment I've heard in any stadium.

I totally agree. The AU game was the best. Hodson was just so poised.

I’ll never forget that night. Unbelievable experience!

That brought back some memories. The stadium was definitely louder before the upper deck was added. USC - 1979 Ole Miss 1972
This. I was at both games (I was a little kid) but I still remember those games. Sweet!

From start to finish, this was loudest even with smaller stadium
Uh No. you were not at USC in 1979 or thr game where time stood still in 72. Hell, the 2007 UF game was louder and frankly more intense. What made 97 so great was we were sitting there waiting to get our asses handed to us. Then as the game went on, despite our great record (I think it was 5-1 at the time) we didn’t really believe as fans that UF would be held scoreless through the air. Nobody but nobody predicted that.

'79 USC game and UF '07 when it was announced that Stanford beat USC were both louder than any of these great moments

I got chills for the Byrd touchdown versus Auburn. I'll never forget what the student section was like for that.
Was sitting on the east side upper deck and couldn’t tell if he caught it or not. Student section going nuts gave it away.
Great memory.

2012 bama game. The exact moments specifically would be during and right after jc copeland caught the pass out of the backfield, broke a couple of tackles while punking the bama defenders, and went rumbling down the sideline for a huge gain right at the end of the 3rd quarter to put us in scoring position to take the lead in the 4th quarter. Also, in the same game only a couple of plays later, when jarvis landry went up with a bama cb in the south endzone and came down with the td catch from mett. That was the loudest roar ive ever heard in any sporting event ive ever witnessed. It was an absolute explosion of emotion by the entire stadium pulling for the tigers all in one accord. You could tell that the bama fans werent used to that kind of intense emotion being released all at once. They were stunned and you could tell it bc they looked scared, lol. It was absolutely incredible. SVP was at that game and said he will never forget the atmosphere that night as long as he lives bc he had never been to a game where the game meant so much to the fans, players, state, etc. He praised LSU fans and the atmosphere saying it was the best atmosphere he had ever witnessed in his lifetime, period, no matter the sport or the teams playing...and he has been to alot of big time sporting events. Its a shame we ended up losing a close game that night in the final seconds.
...and obviously, even though i wasnt there in person, the eddie fuller catch late in the 4th vs auburn right after he dropped the same pass in the same spot in the endzone just moments before. Its the earthquake game ffs. Its pretty difficult to contend with that. Lol, we have the best fans in sports, period. Geaux Fightin' Tigers.

What comes to mind for me is LSU-Alabama 2012 when Landry caught that TD pass to take the lead in the 4th Q. Place absolutely lost it
For me it was same game but different moment. It was the JC Copeland catch and run down the sideline when he juked a tackler and that play carried us into all the theatrics of entering the 4th quarter

Crowd and the sidelines were going nuts. I actually stopped cheering in that moment and just took it all in amazed how loud it was.

quote:. Mark Richt had a great quote about the stadium after that game- something along the lines of it was the loudest stadium he’d been in because after they scored the long run TD to tie the score when most stadia would get quiet he said the crowd just got angrier got louder and louder chanting LSU
When Georgia scored, everyone had a single brief silent pause of disbelief during the play. Immediately afterward, the whole stadium erupted out in “LSU! LSU! LSU!” chant before they even lined up for the PAT. That was an incredible moment.
Was an awesome, memorable moment. And it was really loud, as it should have been, but far from loudest. The throw was absolutely PERFECT!

probably not the loudest but when Leonard killed this guy it was pretty frickin rowdy
