It does surprise me how often people comment on a thread with a negative comment. If the topic doesn't interest them then don't click on it.
Simple logic but there are a lot of negative people on TD. Probably no more then the level of miserable people in real life but the ability to hide behind your computer screen and be an arse or a tough guy seems to attract them to social media. It's like a playground for the social miscreants.
Baseball threads are easy targets because we have them year round and we tend to be positive
So...Two more days till first pitch!!! The road to Omaha is about to begin!!!

another reason to hate baseball.
i wouldn't even know this site existed if not for baseball.
I signed up in 2008 to get information on what to do/where to go in Omaha. That's actually the reason for my lame user name. i didn't intend to stay.

Tough loss last night, even tougher seeing dumbasses give their analysis. That being said showed some heart. Man I'm ready for Friday.

Championship countdown now moves onto 1997
Tigers in 97 were back in the title game, trying to defend their title, no team has done this since 1987 1988 with Stunford. LSU would play their SEC west rivals Bama. Alabama got to the title, by winning three straight elimination games.
To put this simply this game wasn’t even close.
LSU bats started out quickly in the 1st with a solo shut.
Soon after that LSU would get their 2nd run in the first a base hit.
Continuing the scoring the first inning LSU get’s two more runs to make it 4-0
LSU will finish off the scoring in the first making it 6-0 LSU
A three RBI extra base hit would make it 9-0 LSU.
Bama would start to come back making it 9-4, but LSU would strike again with a two run single. Making it 11-4.
Earnheart would make it 13-4 with a home run.
Bama would score two more runs but that doesn’t really matter.
Thompson would finish Bama off with a K looking. Giving Skip his 4th title in 7 years and 6 appearnces in Omaha in the 90s.

I melted after the Auburn game. I had 0 expectations last night. It was rather fun to watch the game that way. I was able to enjoy the game for what it was, an entertaining basketball game.
