You can disagree but him hitting 2 HR in a scrimmage with new balls surprises me none.

2 in 1 game when he has only hit 1 in his career(.344 SLG% career) is surprising to me. He was a great hitter last year, im not trying to put him down. He just hasn't show much power. Id be surprised if he hit 2 all season.

It's too easy to say the leader will be Bregman so I will go with a dark horse.

Bregman-9
Chinea-4
Hale-6
Scivicque-5
Stevenson-5
Fraley-7
Zardon-10
Laird-2 (one over the fence and one inside the park)
Robertson-2
Foster-4
Papierski-7

First Javi. Now Hawthorne.

I don't know if Tiger baseball will survive without them.

Scivicque is going deep touching double digits this year. He had like 30 warning tracks last year 1/3 have to go out with the new ball. Book it. #KSpaintrain

Half of those will be pinch hit obviously with Pap's insertion into the starting role.

More notes.

Trey Mongrue @TreyMongrue · 48m 48 minutes ago
As for Chinea, Mainieri said he'll largely be a 1B/DH and will get first crack as clean up hitter. #LSU

Trey Mongrue @TreyMongrue · 39m 39 minutes ago
Jared Foster fielding some grounders at 3B right now. He was a second baseman in high school. #LSU

Trey Mongrue @TreyMongrue · 2m 2 minutes ago
Jesse Stallings will get first crack as closer for #LSU. He has looked great in the Spring. Says fastball sits 92MPH & can get up to 94.

also saw a tweet that bryce jordan is taking balls at 3B. PM said he was "getting better everyday".. I think he'll be starting by the end of the season. Somewhere

Beau had the better fall and spring at the plate. Both of them are going to be great players for LSU
