I will admit that Wade has proven to be a damn good coach and program builder. But Wade is a El Stupido when it comes to covering your trail when you are doing something a little bit shady.
Look at the text messages.First he probably was dumb enough to use the phone LSU provided to him which gives LSU ownership of the records. Second, the recipient can always print the text messages to use against him. That is why you use someone else to handle the messaging. Third, he uses his wife's account to send out money.
If you are going to cheat at least try and cover it up.

No, paying a blackmail is not "illegal," and I'm not sure it is even a violation of NCAA rules.
It is ill advised, but not illegal.

I have indeed been hard on wade.
I have my reasons. Part is because of the investigation which I never dismissed as “nothing” and part is because of things I’ve heard about him outside of coaching. The guy is not a nice guy if that matters to anyone.

We need to have integrity and wade is not exactly wading in integrity. The guy is a dumbass. He also badmouthed lsu publicly which in hindsight is a huge slap in our face when you consider how corrupt he is.
The guy lacks humility and he lacks integrity.
I just hope we can get some of our dignity back in quick order at this point

Wade's gonna be cutting down the nets somewhere in the SEC. All you purists will still be like "IT HAD TO BE DONE" but we'll all be there to say I told you so.

I agree to some extent but that doesn’t mean that a coach should carry out his business the way wade does. I know that players get paid under the table. I don’t necessarily hold that against wade.
The way he did it was flagrantly dumb.
So then there’s the other issues I have. He’s a douchebag personally from what I hear. I don’t know him personally but had heard things about him that make me believe that Wade is not a good guy on many levels.
Then he trashed lsu facilities publicly and privately he evidently said some things to those connected to the program that ruffled some feathers. To think that he talked like that all the while being a dumbass paying kids is astounding to me.
I’d love to get a really good coach. I know woody is going to put the best foot forward to bring that about. I’d also like that person to be a person of integrity. Maybe a hard combo but that’s what I want.

I think the NIL stuff will ultimately be THE mitigating factor that lets LSU pass with minor sanctions. Just because Wade paid some kids under the table in an era before SCOTUS allowed the Texas aTm's of the world set up legal ways of doing so, doesn't make it OK. At the same time, the NCAA will look across the nutty landscape of college sports and be like "comparatively, it really wasn't a strong arse offer after all."
