I mean, if it was in Baton Rouge they absolutely would. Just like they do for every other home game.
What a lot of people or missing is Jay likes to play some early, away games. Gets the team ready for the grueling SEC schedule.
Every game this year, other than the 3 D1 games and a midweek at ULL, are on ESPN or SECN.

Fox has a deal with the Big10. The game was played at UCLA
they wouldn't have a deal in place if there was no audience that wanted to watch it.

It’s hosted by the Houston Astros Foundation
and MLB network apparently figures there is enough of an audience to justify putting it on TV instead of just online streaming.

If not a full tournament, I'd like to see a return of the old Busch/Winn Dixie Classic format.
Play a round robin over three days with three teams from another state.
But do it at the Box.

I think we hosted the old Winn Dixie Challenge back in Skip’s early years. It was LSU and two other Louisiana schools vs three schools from another state. I miss it.
This was a great event. The issue was playing it in the Superdome.
I remember watching Deion Sanders play for FSU in this series back in the 80s.
I know we played Florida schools, MS schools, and TX schools during three of the seasons. I know there were more.

Mid February at the Box can be a huge weather problem.

It was mentioned on the broadcast the other day about hosting an SEC vs Big12/ACC/Big10 challenge like they do in basketball every year at the beginning. Set up 4-5 locations and have 3 teams from each conference. Would create some good matchups and have a desirable destination to go watch games. ESPN would have to broadcast. D1 couldn't handle that many games/locations at once.
