Sure, the draft certainly means a lot to him, but he wouldn't just casually pass up dunn and celebrity status at LSU. Maybe he was just an unbearable douche.
regardless, we signed 5 other pitchers throwing 90+ with plus pitches. I think we'll survive

And hey, if it turns out that the kid has a grandmother that raised him who's terminal, and he wants to be near her, then I'll eat every word in spades and feel about 2 inches tall. But for right now, what we have is all we have to go on.

If he was as talented as he was hyped to be, he wouldn't have needed any guarantees. That would've fallen into place on it's own.
