He will say something different next week and something different the week after that. All these guys do is confirm the prevailing narrative of the network, and they only change the narrative as the games begin and they have to. LSU has averaged almost ten wins a season over 18 seasons. We aren’t going 6-6. But this allows them to say in ESPN shorthand “ LSU is irrelevant, back to Bama now” or whatever narrative they are peddling.

Loved Spears as a Tiger but there's only 1 reason he has that job, and it's not for his horrible speaking voice or his brain.

In this ridiculous scenario it would probably take them going 6-0 in the west, losing to both Georgia and Florida, and also losing every non-conference game. I think this is a much more interesting question than the original.

LSU has won at least 8 games every season since 2000. The failure to win 8 games is an out and out failure, full stop. We're not Auburn, who can rationalize a crappy season away with "at least we beat Bama." That's loser talk.
I want to beat everyone. Bama is no different than anyone else. But the bare minimum is eight games. There is no success without hitting that minimum bar.
