The only problem with leading at the half,is they play a 2nd half that counts towards who wins the game.

Yep. Have to have about an 18-20 point halftime lead to feel safe with any McMahon led team. He’s incapable of adjusting in the second half.

Hard to adjust when you have nothing in your tool kit. You can’t be a winning team simply relying on half court offensive execution. It takes a lot more than just that.

Well that is a bit harsh. LSU has only blown 2 HT leads this season. Usually they are considerate enough to save you the trouble by getting down big at HT (21 vs. Texas Tech; 25 vs. South Carolina; 14 vs. Vandy; 12 vs. Florida)

Very true. I can’t tell you the last time we’ve run either a flare screen or a big to big passing set that was initiated with a flash to the elbow.

Same old “plays” being trotted out possession after possession.

I wish he'd trap a little and press after a made FT every once in a while, especially when we are getting torched I'd like to try something new and different sometimes to take the opposing offense out of their comfort zone.

Some fans believing a coach that is 14-46 in SEC play is going to lead our current 1-6 conference play team to the tournament might be the most insane shite I’ve ever seen on this board

It’s really quite remarkable to watch. Especially considering we have at least four games left against teams that will make the tournament.

Agree…hoping he makes the tournament for what?.. to lose his 1st game and be stuck with this same BS next year.. I’ll pass.. it’s pretty bad when as fans we are hoping, wishing, praying at the least LSU makes the tourney as a bubble team and get to watch this disaster for a 5th year… Lawd have mercy…

And we don’t run, we’re near or at the bottom in transition scoring. We don’t change up looks on D or use pressure at all. We do nothing to dictate or change pace and tempo. He wants to run his 2 offensive sets well and that’s it, that’s how he thinks he’s gonna beat people. What’s crazy is 4 years in, he hasn’t changed anything or tried anything new. Every blue moon something will work, 99% of the time out of chance or necessity, but he’ll never go back to it again or build off of it.

Spot on. I see though a clueless lurker downvoted this and will offer to rebuttal/counter to your accurate statement. But we’re not real fans and want the team to always lose

I hope they make me eat crow.

As I have said.

I want McMahon to win because I don’t think there is anyway he gets fired because they don’t think people care enough

Until then I will keep talking about it because hopefully the admin reads this and knows people care

MM has lost to Chris Jans coached State teams by an average of around 20 points each time. It is not a foregone conclusion that we will beat them. The best week of McMahon's career here (the back to back wins against UK and a ranked SC on the road two years ago) concluded with a 20+ home loss to Mississippi State, essentially ending our season.

Early but did I not call this?
