Year after year, the NCAA insures certain teams are propped up. In collaboration with ESPN they make sure teams like TCU, Texas Tech, or James Madison get what the NCAA needs to appear it is following or allowing DEI to propagate within the league.

How many times have I told people on this board and everywhere else the most overrated college football program in the country, even more overrated than Clemson, is the Oregon Ducks!!

They get propped up because NIKE spends a lot of money advertising. Now you know why they go "QUACK, QUACK"!!

NCAA Must End DEI Activity.

Has jack shite to do with DEI, but no one even knows what that means anymore, so whatever.

I actually think Oregon has a solid program. Yea they have Nike money but I don’t think they get propped up near like was USC did in their run. Dan Lanning is a great coach and seems like a great person too. His message to his team and the media after the game was rock solid.

The only reason Oregon emerged was due to USC being on probation after Reggie Bush years. Oregon has always been soft but propping them up helps NIKE. The ugliest man in the world, Phil Knight, wants his Duckies to be given a championship because it is obvious they will not ever win one.

Besides, do you really want to support a team supported by profits from child labor shoe factories in Asia?

I’ve been saying this for 15+ years! Way back when Cowturd would constantly suck off the Ducks on radio.

So, who should have taken their place in the CFP and why? This should be good...

The SEC that would have smashed them in the 1st round but, oh noooo, we gotta work the #'s and let the corrupt committee make sure the SEC teams play each other.

The CFP was almost half SEC teams. 5 out of 12. The Ducks lost 1 regular season game... to the current number 1 team. And you think what? Texas should taken their place? I don't even like Oregon or the big 10, but dang dude, come on... you can't be real.

Are we trying to say OU or Bama would have beaten Oregon is they didn’t play each other?

Oregon is in the playoffs with a chance every year. LSU hasn't even sniffed the new playoff format yet. I sure would like to see LSU where they are at. Even getting blown out last night they were 1 game away. Our program has been a hot mess since 2019.

This is how we know that you're stupid.

TCU won the Big 12 when it was still the Big12 with a 12-1 record and they beat a 13-0 Michigan team to reach the finals. No DEI.

The title of your link was misleading with a political message that has nothing to do with College Football.

JMU got in because the ACC champion was an 8-4 Duke Team the pre established rules. The rules can be changed and probably will be but one fact remains: The CFP is trying to avoid any anti-trust issues by including G5 programs in a 12 team playoff. It's preventive law!

I would think that the CFP governance is thinking of ways of avoiding the same scenario next year in the same manner that they changed the seeding this year because the 2024 Top 4 seeds with a bye were the 4th highest ranked conference champions. Boise State was the 4th highest ranked conference champ because the ACC champion, Clemson, was ranked lower.

The NCAA has to change rules every 4 - 5 years. These flash in the pans will be shown the door very soon and after another dominant SEC run, the NCAA will change the rules again.

Oregon had a solid year, no problem with them being in the playoffs. I wish we could have had Texas and hard to type “nd” Notre Dame, (can’t believe I said that) in the playoffs.

Exactly, I'm not sure what TCU has to do with this.

OP is dumb or doesn't watch much college football. Probably both.

So? What SEC team are you putting in above them? Why?
