I don’t mind scone some days and I think some of you under estimate how tough it is to do 3 hours a day here solo and not rely on callers.,
Things I hate about Scona
1. He confuses loud and obnoxious with being funny.
2. His fake laugh is out of control. Not everything Theriot says is a gut busting funny, reign it in.
3. When he interviews athletes, he’s such a try hard jock sniffer then. He really tries to bro out and it’s awkward.

I'm sure it is difficult, but Matt has learned how to totally kill time and drag something out from the best when he worked with Condon.

That's hard to listen to, and those fake laughs seem to last forever.

4. He disrupts the natural flow with the interview of any guest. He'll ask a question, interrupt the guest and then go off on a stupid tangent. Or sometimes the guest will say something wrong, and Matt will spend damn near ten minutes doing a fake laugh and sticking his chest out to promote how smart he is. Sometimes it's funny for about 30 seconds, and then you move on. No need to carry it out for ten minutes.

Musso is the younger board operator for Matt's show. He's the one that does it when it's not Brian Haldane or however you spell his last name. Musso will be doing the noon show with the Spanish play by play guy starting next week.

Exactly. And he’s the only local guy that has the nuts to even have an opinion on something consistently, even if it may be negative:
I don’t care that he’s wrong sometime. It makes it more fun to rub it in. But this is what sells & draws viewership. If you need any evidence, reference the National model. If you’re not uniquely hilarious or creative, this is the only other way.

Spot on. Remember how much he argued with people on Twitter about how Hunter Newman needed to be LSU’s closer during end of the the 2017 season. Meanwhile Zach Hess was just mowing down everyone he faced. Then Zach Hess in the CWS happened. Didn’t hear much from Scone on that topic afterwards.

I have only heard a few of his shows, I live in Dallas, but that segment he did (that was posted here on TD) of the LSU football players dancing in the White House with the lady in the white dress was off the chains funny.

That’s pretty much why I can’t listen to talk radio of any sort.
Most hosts I’ve encountered only truly care about hearing themselves talk.
They talk over guests and callers.
It annoys they frick out of me

The way he scripts his pauses is so annoying too. He’ll waste an entire segment on some small news item like a Saints rookie retiring from football to go to med school, which he actually did.
