I disagree on Kelly. He’s a winner. Notre Dame as a program is just maxed out at mere “top10 playoff-contending team.” They won’t ever win it, they’re at a competitive disadvantage to the big boys.

No Dave Aranda?
I’d definitely interview him, but he’s a complete introvert. Not sure that personality type will get it done here with recruiting, boosters, etc

know “success” is subjective, but I really don’t understand why there’s this perception that BOB was successful at PennSt.
You’re right, what’s impressive about being a National Coach of the Year at Penn State. His head coaching history is more impressive than Sarkisian’s, and not nearly the baggage. Won on the AFC south multiple times with the Texans, including twice with crap QBs before Deshaun Watson got there. And don’t forget she was O-coordinator with the Pats for some of their glory years before going to Penn State. And he’s only 51.

Kelly’s agent will use USC vs LSU but USC cant or wont pay what LSU can for a FB Coach

That wasn’t a typical coach of the year award and you know it.
Just because people expected them to go 4-8 doesn’t mean he was the best coach in America by going 8-4
Yeah he was handed a turd and did a respectable/decent job, but cmon let’s not go overboard here.

Kiffin first choice, Myers second…

Saban is, and always should be #1 on the list. He’s never leaving Bama, but make him laugh in your face and hang up the phone.
It’s the same concept with the prettiest girl in the club. Don’t avoid her because you think she’ll say know. Make her say no and then you know for sure.
And for God’s sake, STOP ANNOUNCING YOUR LIST. Do it in private.

Dude, if you’re gonna put Saban on your list, you may as well put him number one with a bullet.

I started laughing so hard I couldn’t finish the rest of the list after David Shaw.

Start with Fickell. If he can take Cinncinati into South Bend Indiana and beat Notre Dame, he has to be at the head of the pack.
REMEMBER, TOO THAT FICKELL SUPPPOSEDLY LOST THE BEST DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND HIS REPLACEMENT, MIKE TRESSSEL, SEEMS TO BE A GOOD FIT SO FAR THIS SEASON.......SO WE KNOW THAT FICKELL CAN MAKE QUALITY PERSONNEL DECISIONS..........

If you go after Saban, you would literally have to offer between $12 - $15 million minimum a year before incentives. As well as up the recruiting budget by at least 15 - 25% or more. If you want the best you will pay too dollar.

Urban is a Pos frick him. I’d rather go 2-10 every year than sell out and hire that scum bag.

I don't want Meyer, Kiffin, Freeze, Mullen or Sark. Saban is of course off the table. I confess I don't know who Franklin, Fickell or Cristobal are. Just give me a coach who has brains, integrity and doesn't make a fool of himself off the field. Someone who can adjust to the situation at hand, whether it is play calling or substitutions which is something we sorely lack at the moment.
