Agree, but if they earned a top 16, should the players be hurt because there’s a music fest?

Yes.
The players earned the number one seed in whatever regional they’re in. The university and program failed on the hosting part but were let off the hook.
Fruitcake Mingeone just got handed a favor by his old boss. It’s complete horseshite.
The ability to actually host used to take precedence over the seeding of the team. The only reason it hasn’t lately is the improvement in facilities. This is a failure all around.

This is awful. As the parent of an athlete (different sport, several years ago), usually when they go to regionals, nationals, etc. they actually get nicer travel.
So it's like, "Here you go. Here's a Keurig for all 60 of you. Sorry, but your rooms don't have TVs." Those guys deserve to have a nice experience. For 75% of them, it's their only experience as they won't be moving on.

I have a stupid question.
Basically every streamed LSU game this season has been on SEC+ which I have. I dont have ESPN+. Is it safe to assume that if an LSU game is streamed (not televised on ESPN, ESPN2, Ocho, etc) in this Regional it will be featured on SEC+? I figure if LSU is playing it will be on SEC+ and other matchups will be ESPN+.

No. All games will be on ESPN+ per an earlier thread.

LSU game is listed on ESPNU so you should be able to watch with your normal cable subscription.
