personally think that this board is infested with many "posers" who act like they are LSU fans but aren't and they just enjoy being dickheads.
I agree. It’s far too likely there are fans of other SEC teams on here pretending to be LSU fans and posting because they want O to stay HC at LSU as long as possible.
I’m sure they get a kick out of it.

There are 129 D1 football schools.

He’s one of 125 that may never win a Championship.
Stupid bet.
Someone other than those 4 will win one in the next 10 years. Orgeron will not.
There's a difference between "haven't won" and "can't win." If we know he's won of the "can't wins" then what the hell are we doing?

I understand. The point is the vast majority never win a NC. Some have great careers but never win that game. Or you can have a guy like Gene Chizick and win one NC but be a very average head coach at best.

Guess he'll be fired when that becomes apparent. Probably too soon to make that assessment. Besides, you live in paradise, why aren't you at Moonlight Beach taking it all in?

This would be an acceptable mindset if we were Tulsa and not fricking LSU.
For about 4 years now people have been saying we're a HC away from winning a NC. Now with Orgeron the mindset is "whelp, most HCs don't win one."
Alleva has won.

No. In fact he will never win an SEC West title even when Saban retires. Why? Dabo or some other better coach will be there and live he next 10 years off his empire.

Only 100% is you will not win a national championship

Ding ding ding.

Will Ed Orgeron ever win a National Championship?
It's near impossible. First evidence, his losing record against higher ranked opponents at LU only (2-6 right?).

Saban will eventually retire and some, really several, of those 125 will win a national championship one day. Some may even win a Super Bowl.
Ed O will not be in that number imo

You know that year he was out at USC I fully expected the Trojans to hire him as a full time coach, and he would bring a trophy to the hallowed halls of Troy. And this was a program reeling in the aftermath of a failed stint by Lane Kiffin!
How ironic is it this same Lane Kiffin comes up in conversations as a replacement for Coach O after he bites the dust in Baton Rouge!

Maybe, if everything goes according to plan.

I have a vested interest in having my alma mater not run by complete goons. Nevermind our piss poor academic profile... at least we can be proud of our football.
Last season, Orgeron beat 5 schools that ended up firing their coach... a HISTORICALLY weak SEC. Besides the Auburn win, everything else was fool’s gold. Meanwhile, aTm is making huge moves with a smart, aggressive AD (an LSU alum mind you), while we’re barely treading water with idiotic Joe Alleva.
We need to rip off the bandaid sooner rather than later. Clean house from the head coach to the governer. We need school and state leaders who want to take care of our flagship university, not just appointees who want box seats.
My sentiments exactly.
