Im just curious as to why so many returning players struggled at the plate this year.I realize the bats had some impact on power numbers but, like other teams the plate approach needed to be adjusted to compensate.

PM wasn't replacing the pitching coach, he was replacing the recruiting coordinator.

So true, I've lost respect for paul also. questioned it in 2007 (but that team was bad), was surprised in 2008, had the respect for him in 2009 winning it all. Felt this guy is a good coach. We had great pitching and great hitting. Lost it last year when he went on the paul mainieri tour around our great state and the team fell apart and he made stupid moves every game. He continued to lose my respect this year in game 1 when he batted hanover in the three hole - wtf are you thinking. Why are his teams so streaky? 2008 we won like 30 games in a row and that was fun to watch and then 2010 we lost like 20 in a row. Sign of a bad leader - no respect

Here's your only 4 posts on this site, You have a issue with the coach that is personal, as you just showed up. You should be banned.

re: Trey Watkins given his walking papers by Mainieri - biglsubbfan on 6/1 at 11:47 pm
CPM comments on tigerbait. This guy is a fool. He lost us vonrosenburg and colvin. He recruited those guys and he winned like a baby when they signed. That press conference was a joke. Rooney then signed one good class and one bad class and Grewe signed one good class and one bad class and tba on th...

Javi doesn't know how to recruit. He probably recruited bad players at Notre Dame also. I do know he recruited koenomann and sparks at lsu and they were bad. He doesn't know how to coach hitters at all. he's just Paul's yes man. Saw a clip on the news tonight that made him look like the bad coach he...

Baseball players friends and families are usually huge pussies, the players themselves a lot of times too. Friends and families always feel slighted if their boy doesn't shine, it starts in little league. A ton of politics and faux insiders who think their boy is getting jobbed, that's baseball

This is pretty typical. We hit ten times worst than we pitched and you get rid of the pitching coach and keep the hitting coach.

Kind of like getting rid of the OC instead of the goof calling the plays. I sure hope SK is allowed to run his own offense but that would be sharp change from JF and GC.

You're wrong on both of those. Your time as a poster on here is limited.

Take your personal vendetta with LSU baseball because your unqualified nephew couldn't cut it with the LSU baseball team to another message board. Thanks.

Get out of here with that! The Rant is no place for facts.

Getting hits wasn't the issue. I want to say, in quite a few of the games the baseball team lost, they had more "hits" than the winning team. There just weren't any clutch hits in those games.

I'm not trying to back javi here, but coaching hitting in the clutch is mythical IMO, it's luck basically

Oh, I'm not arguing that either. I was just saying LSU had plenty enough hits this season, but they just didn't have the runs on the scoreboard to show for it, in certain games.

Though, it is tough to fault the pitching whenever they are losing close, low-scoring games.
