you pie in the sky people , who have dreams of landing a QB whisperer for head coach are silly . Coach Miles has gave us a great team including coaches and a decent QB with a couple coming aboard ,but you have dreams of more , your screams for more have been tearing our program apart and sending some of the state best recruits to bama . What I would like to know is how you geniuses are going to fix the SEC management / bama connection and how does this chaos convince your pie in sky coaches to come here and what happens when they turn in to losers if and when they where to come to this chaotic place ?

The SEC is as down as it has been in 15 years.

So I predict we go 10-2, but could see 9-3 or 11-1 as realistic possibilities as well.

I would have predicted the same with Miles.

Yay.

ETA: If he goes 8-4 against our weak arse schedule this experiment should be over.

Why? If finding a coach that can foster good QB play was the goal then there were a number of coaches that would've fit.

So it's my fault Bama's been getting #1 classes?

What does this even mean?

Alleva clearly stated that he vetted 10 to 12 applicants. He had an agreement with Herman that fell through. Any other choice other than O would've resulted in losing staff members that they wanted to retain not to mention recruiting issues that would arise. He went with the obvious choice. But please continue with your ignorance.

Your dog chit narrative sounds much like the vomit you hear on ESPN

LSU missed on their first 2 coaching choices both of which were using us. one for a golden parachute the other for leverage for where they wanted to be in the first place. After that the coaching pool was a crap shoot. I think your knowledge is limited and very narrow minded.

Hire a person who wants the job, probably on an incentives contract. Surround him with with the best possible coordinators and assistants. I think it's a solid plan. But as you state the rest of us pale in comparison to your knowledge

And then what happens if Adanda and Canada bolt for head coaching jobs after next year?

What if we hired Herman and the Tx job opens next year?

I think a lot of people are getting people who didn't agree with the Orgeron hire confused with being a Orgeron hater. I LOVE coach O but he simply wasn't qualified to land the LSU job. I'll root like hell for him though. I'd be ecstatic if he can succeed.

I'm in the same boat. I didn't want him hired without a much wider search. I was critical when he offered Tua and it rocked the boat in recruiting. However, he is our coach now, and the best thing for LSU is for him to succeed, so I'm behind him. He kept Aranda, made a great OC hire, stabilized recruiting, and definitely had the team ready to play yesterday. I'm behind him, and hope he uses all this momentum to springboard into a very successful 2017.

The threat of losing staff members and recruits happens with every new HC hire. Alleva did a piss poor job with his "search" and if you think this is just my opinion you are sorely mistaken.

You don't know what Alleva did by your post you were willing to set the program back years to get a coach that you approved of. Adumb opinion held by a hundred people is still a dumb opinion.

And you're willing to set the program back years to get your guy whose last stink as a HC was an absolute failure. Let's hope it works out.

Coach O just manhandled an coach with a good team and a Heisman trophy winner for QB ,No coach with a choice would come to this bitchy, whiney , chaotic place .

Aranda should have been hired in 15. Thank Alleva for delaying that.
