Just assumed you have to schedule your take off, flight plan, and landing if not on a commercial flight

The next charter in the books. They do write that shite down. But, being you, you already knew that.
So what you’re saying is that if you charter a plane on Saturday, you can wait to use the plane as long as you want? And, nobody who hired that same plane can use it even if it was hired for the next day?

And hotels and wherever the team needs to go. I believe every SEC team does this.
If they own the bus it’s probably just as cost effective as renting a charter bus wherever the team goes.

This is understandable. I’m just coming from a point that maybe no planes from that company were free.
I certainly don’t know this but was just throwing out a possibility.

How closely do you think they stack charters?
Would they need to leave time for weather delays?
Crew rests?
What would they do if there was a weather delay and couldn’t get to their next charter “scheduled” so tightly?
Do most charter companies only own 1 plane and only have 1 crew?

I know people here think they have every solution to every problem and everyone in powers of authority is an idiot. The fact of the matter is it just isn't as easy as "oh, let's just change the charter flight time".
Charter flights run schedules just like commercial flights. They got their flight for Saturday evening, like any normal school would. The schools ask for a window and the charter company tells them when they can come. This is nobody's fault. Nobody is scared of playing anybody.
Everything being a "conspiracy" just gets so tired on this site.

UK is probably using Delta, they tell Delta when they want to leave Lexington for BTR and when they want to return, Delta makes sure the jet is available at those times, the crew and the jet ain’t sitting in BTR all of that time, if there’s a change in their schedule they contact Delta

I was told is a curfew today but apparently the UK coaches didn’t communicate this with anyone until this morning.

100%. That's how charter flights work. I'm in a business where I deal with this a lot. There is a very good chance that flight Kentucky is on has to go pick up someone else later, or the crew will have reached their daily limit. Changing a charter flight same day is not easy
