The UK bus was parked outside the stadium so I thought maybe they bussed down. Guess the drive the bus all the way down to just bring them to and from the airport? Seems dumb

And hotels and wherever the team needs to go. I believe every SEC team does this.

If they own the bus it’s probably just as cost effective as renting a charter bus wherever the team goes.

I would imagine it's also carrying whatever gear they have.

You can load up the bus with equipment, drive out a day ahead and unpack at the Box, then go ferry the team around a couple days. Run the team back to the airport afterwards, come back and pack up everything, and hit the road. Those bats and helmets etc don't need to be back in Lexington for 9pm tonite.

100%. That's how charter flights work. I'm in a business where I deal with this a lot. There is a very good chance that flight Kentucky is on has to go pick up someone else later, or the crew will have reached their daily limit. Changing a charter flight same day is not easy

We chart flights weekly and change times almost weekly. It’s very rarely a big issue. The pilot in this thread who has flown many charters said the same thing.

Luckily, it looks like this won’t be an issue anyway.

The staff couldn’t handle it.. Jay basically said that was the factor. It’s why he kept money in there to eat the remaining outs even after the game got close. As long as we can end up in the top 8, could care less about the sec title.

Not a good sign at all. If the staff can’t handle a 3 game series then it’s gonna be tough come tournament time

They have a Kentucky bus at the stadium. Did they just drive it in to shuttle from the hotel to stadium? I didn’t think they would bus that far but yet the bus is here.

They drive the bus down with equipment etc. It's not students driving the bus so they can do this without it affecting the team itself or impacting time out of class since the series started on a Thursday.

A 3 game series on an extra day of rest after a 2-game series.

It's just injuries.

If there are no more weather delays, that allows at least three and a half hours for the game. That should be plenty of time. We need to start worrying about the Tigers getting a lead and holding it instead of worrying about the weather and Kentucky's charter flight.
