Yeah I remember people saying a while back he can effectively hit the ball to either side with ease and has a great eye at the plate. Love it.

RF in the mold of a Greg Deichmann.

So put Drost and Leto in the Vaseline pit and let the winner take RF I'm in.

Not to mention the guys rated that highly are under the microscope for years and there’s more time to pick apart everything they do.

ETA: It would be interesting to see new scouting reports today without prior knowledge or current trajectory involved, and compare him again to some of the other top college bound bats in the class.

If Devin is to sign it's going to be round 8 or 9.

scouting fatigue

ETA: When you see a guy so much for so long, you're going to see him fail more than other guys. Late pop up guys become more attractive because no one has seen them fail yet.

Mike Vasil was highly rated enough out of high school to pull himself out of the draft to go to Virginia, he just went in the 8th.

They really don't help their players much at all from a player dev standpoint.

So Hasty and Coleman are our only lefties for next year correct?

I don't know his family situation, but that's not a sizable signing bonus. If he signs at that low a number he must really want to get on with his pro career

Shaffer from SELU is a portal option. There is a portal arm from South Dakota State that is a lefty as well if I'm remembering correctly. It might be the new portal guy from Wake Forest that's a lefty.

None of them are committed at this point, so currently you're correct.

Forgot about him.

I still think he's better than what was shown last season. I think he was misused.

And, Irvin and Cooper from AZ.

ETA: Yes, the Wake kid is a lefty, too.

I was unimpressed with his stuff. Really liked his intensity.

A south carolina JUCO commit just got taken. You know, one of those really big arms that Mainieri couldn't figure out how they got them all to campus.

At one point he was the only guy on the roster that stranded an inherited runner.

And seemingly the only guy that entered the game in relief and threw a first pitch strike.

But he's absolutely a LOOGY. He's college Randy Choate.

I kinda like the kid from Wake. He's arm angle is right over the top but it comes at you weird.

We need an arm angle graphic like the one from the Rays last year where it looked like full wheel.
