So are we going to lose to Tx Southern? It's basically a midweek game.

Hypothetically, if all 8 top seeds win, how are the pairings in Omaha determined? 1 plays 8, 2 plays 7, etc? LSU at 4 would play the 5 seed, right?

LSU would play Texas Tech I believe. Look at the bracket on page 1. It shows the match ups in Omaha

Why does BYU get special treatment?
If you don't want to play on Sunday, why participate?

Why allow a team to honor their strong held religious beliefs in a country like America? Thats absurd and I think there should be a rule against teams having religious tenets, only allow agnostic teams to participate in college sports period!

What is this country turning into.......

Southern Miss ain't coming to LSU and winning. They probably won't get out of their own regional.

USM is a legit team, 2 good starters, decent bull pen and when they heat the bats up they can play with anybody in the country. Now I still think LSU is a better team but all of these people that have Miss State cruising into BR for the supers either havent been paying attention to how lowsy Moo State has been playing recently (esp their pitching) or they havent bothered to check So Miss' strengths as a team all year.

Geaux Tigers - The Road to #7 starts Friday baby!!!!!

The other best part of the NCAA tourney is that the Black Bears, tulane & ULLLLL Bulldogs did not make it.

I could be wrong, but this is only the fourth time (1995, 2005, 2016, 2017) for Rice to come to Baton Rouge for a Regional, with an additional Super Regional (2009) trip in there as well.

Why does everyone seem to think it's an every year occurrence?

LSU and Rice have met up in the World Series a couple times, I believe, as well.

It does feel like we see them a lot.

Why do they never host their own Regional I wonder. Facilities?

Because people remember the good teams and Rice has had some pretty good teams.

They've hosted at their own park quite often, most recently in 2014. It was matched up with Baton Rouge for the Super, but that's the year LSU lost to Houston and Rice also lost to Texas. So, Texas hosted the Super.

They just haven't been as strong recently as in the past to get to host their own.

Haha. There was no reason for me to be rude with my answer. You asked politely.

So, padre, answer me this. The CWS has games on Sunday, always has. Should BYU make it to the CWS, are you saying the entire schedule should be altered to accommodate that? Ummmm... no. Hell no. They can forfeit.
