It not so much that anybody things the threat is really. It is more about his uneducated pompous arse south lafourche self making and continuing to make ignorant comments and thinking he is better than other people.

a coach should NEVER engage with a heckler. He has to understand the position he's in and ignore all this kind of stuff. Stay far above it all.

But O gets down into the mud. It's incredibly inappropriate and is a sign that he doesn't have much awareness or self control.

When your making 7 million a year more is expected out of you! Is O worth 7 million? Is there a single person alive, not related to him, who believes that?

Trump could say the sky is blue and millions of people would lose their shite.

And the other half wouldn't blink no matter what he said.

I think you're proving the point. Some of y'all are going to lose your shite no matter what O says.

Yes, it was a dumb thing to say. No, he's not seriously saying he's going to kill a dude.

Is it entertaining? Yes.
Is it embarrassing? Somewhat.
At the end of the day does it matter? Not one bit.

It gave us something to talk about and laugh about.

But as T-Bob pointed out, nobody GAF when he made a similar comment in 2018 because it's almost like WINS and LOSSES are all that really matters!

First of all, JBoy is a little bitch who is such a POS that he thinks its okay to go out of his way to humiliate O in a public forum. Under no circumstances is that behavior acceptable and should never be supported.

Second of all, how many of you would know exactly how to respond if some random person did the same thing to you as you were doing a presentation at your job? More than likely you would stand up for yourself or try to turn it around by making a joke. O attempted a joke that was lost on the audience.

O is not perfect and he has flaws, but he is not the devil. None of us are any better or less flawed than he is. Thou shall not judge another man until you walk in his shoes.

“how many of you would know exactly how to respond if some random person did the same thing to you”

Most would know not to respond at all especially when the host does you a favor and seamlessly moves the convo forward for you. But I guess you’re in the same boat as O and the caller, insecure, classless and ignorant.

I disagree on him “taking the bait”. O didn’t seem upset at all, he was just throwing it back at him. If he had lost his composure, THAT would have been “taking the bait”

I agree he’s oblivious to his position, but my point was that he wasn’t legitimately “threatening to murder a man” and to think otherwise is just foolish.

Tigeree by any other name is still the same...

"Nick Saban could hit an old lady with his car and the narrative would be she shouldn't have been standing there.

Winning takes care of everything."

You are so right. All these sensitive woke people would be laughing if Coach O said this in 2019. Coach O will be judged by wins and losses as he should by the AD.

So he did not say "there's a fishin' hole in da bye-you for people like you."?

It shows that Eddie does not understand context and/or his current position as HC. There are probably some things he should be above doing, at least in public, but he clearly does not understand this. He has done this repeatedly. Do you just not get this?

Under no circumstance is it even remotely ok that the head coach of LSU to go on his radio show and talk about throwing a caller down a fishing hole
Some people are not understanding the chaos of what is occurring here.

I picked up my stepson from school and we were listening to a LSU podcast on the way home.

The guy was going down the list of all of the things that have transpired the past two years. The pictures, the fishing camp, the sissy blue shirt ordeal, the prank call, some of the on field fiascos, etc. not even going into some of the unconfirmed rumors.

My stepson is not a LSU fan. He grew up in New England. Watches a little bit of the games with me, but had no idea what’s been going on. Till now. His reaction was “This is your head coach? What is going on over there?”.

This is bad. Very bad. The disaster looks much worse than some want to realize. Everything is not public on a national level yet. All it takes is a Gameday piece and we have something worse than Urban Meyer on our hands.

Only a few fanboy media types like culotta and moscona are out there pushing this narrative. It was clearly a joke. They just want to be exonerated because they were all up on orgeron’s nut sack the last 4 years. Trying to create plausible deniability.

But we remember.

I don’t think Moscona was ever on board with the O hire. DP has banned him from interviewing O from the beginning.

You also must consider that Orgeron has a history of violence
This is something a whole lot of people are overlooking, either through ignorance of his history, or intentionally.

Maybe in theory, some people get to make a joke like that and it's all good fun.
Guys in a position of leadership, especially visible ones working with college students, don't.

And guys with a known history of violence that they've taken care to rehab their image, no matter how long ago, also don't.

Things like that affect a person's perception of an organization, and for the amount of money he's getting paid, he needs to act like a saint right now.

STFU moron. A professional coach of a multi million dollar enterprise doesn't act like that meathead does. He's been a festering boil on LSU's reputation. He's a horrid face for the program, university and state. The guy needs to go spend the rest of his retirement at his fishing hole.
