Oh I agree..... not gonna give him 5 years.... I’ve said before. This is his year... after this year I think Arenda leaves if the offense struggles as in the past few years... and not just against Bama... the Arky last year was a horrible display....

Aranda’s contract is guaranteed for another three years and isn’t tied to O. Because of O’s buyout he’s getting at least this season and next. If he doesn’t win the West this season or next, there’s no doubt that Woodward will can his arse before 2021.

O needs more time. We have a new offense and players need 3+ years to adapt. He’s still rebuilding the empty cupboard that LESS left him!!

I may not agree with axlpin or whatever he's calling himself now very often, but if O goes 22-2 over the next 2 seasons and somehow doesn't win the West I doubt he gets fired.

The Alabama game was at the end of the year. We were as healthy as we had been all year.

And we did have starting experience in 2016 but we didn’t have depth. 2017 was the year that we didn’t have much of either. Last year we had some experience but still not much depth. This year is the first year that we have most of our holes filled and so it should be a good year.

And I fully agree that if we are losing games we shouldn’t then it’s time to move on. I just don’t think it will happen. I think most of the fans making a big deal of the last two years aren’t looking at every aspect of football. Injuries hurt us last year and it could do some damage this year but this year we should have an actual 2 deep on the OL, at QB, at RB, at TE, and at WR.

Our defense is still lacking some quality depth and that’s unfortunate but it’s the best we’ve looked in some time. The LB core is our deepest position by far. We got a little thin in the secondary last year also. We’ve seem to have fixed that but we need a big time safety to replace Delpit and hopefully Kelvin Joseph can be that guy.

Hopefully Tyler Shelvin and Ika can be what we’ve been needing in the middle because that can make a huge difference on the DL. If Chassion can stay healthy and Little or one of the OLBs can develop into something special then that will only help us down the road. Recruiting is as hot as it’s ever been at LSU but we do need to complement that with a dominant 2019 season. If we do that then LSU will finish this class strong and off to the races we’ll be.

We haven’t had a nationwide recruiting effort like this since Saban. That’s very important to look at. Many of our DL and OLman had little nagging injuries last year that slowed them down. Now that they’ve all had their surgeries, maybe they’ll feel that much better and it shows this offseason and into the season. O had set us up for success so yes it’s time for results. I’m with everyone there.

I would love to see LSU dominating the teams we’re supposed to and beat the Florida’s, Auburn’s, A&Ms, Miss States, Ole Miss and Arkansas’s while we also compete and even beat Bama. Injuries play a part in this game and to ignore this is just not fair. I think down the road we will be able to sustain key injuries because it looks like they’re trying to have back ups to our star players.

We just aren’t in a position to stack up 5* and 4* players at every position right now. I think that needs to change real soon and I’m hoping that happens this year. If LSU can finish with 2 top tackles and the better DL on our board we’ll be well on our way to that type of success. LSU might have to start processing some great players at LB soon. As well as WR. Ed O needs to keep focusing on the OL/OT position as well as the entire DL position. Look at the QBs we’ve had at our camps lately. Those are some very good prospects. That hasn’t happened for as long as I’ve been watching LSU play. Saban did a good job but if we can get some of those kids to play for LSU and have an 11-1 season will kick it all off.

We need a big season in 2019, there’s no doubt about that. We’ll see what happens. But Ed O has surprised many people and is starting to turn the narrative around. Except for a few ignorant O haters. Others around the country are taking notice. This year it’s important for O to beat Tom Herman, Jimbo and Mullen. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t. Auburn will have it out for us but I think we are in better shape then they are. Then we have Bama but no one will crucify LSU and the staff for losing a competitive game with Bama. We must compete though and I would love to see us win it.

I would love to see LSU scoring in the 50’s and 60’s against lower competition. I would also like to see our defense give full effort even when we are up by 20 points. It seems like they start to take a breath when we go up by significant margins in these games and I would like to see that change. When it’s close they tighten up but they should play like that the entire game and dominate the team across from them for 4 quarters. Team leadership in these situations are important. We should have plenty of that this year as well. GT

There's always going to be circumstances that negatively affect the team. It happens to this team and every other team every single year. The mark of a good team isn't one that avoids misfortune, that's just being lucky. Instead the good teams are the ones that knows how to deal with misfortune constructively.

Yes I do... my post was about Arenda and as usual he sticks O into the conversation because he wants HIM and LSU to fail... that’s his narrative all along.....FACT..... look I didn’t like the hire as many haven’t... but dammit he is the coach for the team I root for and I will support him until he starts doing a Curly Hellman like job.....

With the state of the current program, it's unlikely that it gets to "Curley Hallman" condition any time soon.

The question we should all be asking ourselves is do we have the best guy for the job right now. If not then when do we change that?

whenever you lose a game you are favored to win, it is called and upset (ie "losing a game we shouldn't). It happens to teams every weekend and is not an uncommon occurrence in football nor other sports as well. It is why they actually play the games.

I have been saying the same thing but more for CEO's credibility or resume. He is trying to bury the Ole Miss past so he needs some street cred when he goes in home.

However think of it this way. You beat the teams you are not supposed to that will go a long way to getting in the conversation for CFP's. I agree that taking a step back with a poor loss does not help the cause but winning a big one will help more than just beating Troy because you are supposed to. So just buckle in because this program is not going to make the leap to the next level until we beat Alabama again. Even at 11-1 with a Bama loss we are still where we are now.

the defense had to score just to tie the game. From 7:35 left in the 3rd quarter until the end of regulation, the defense score just as much as the offense did.

last 4 possessions for both sides prior to the last a&m possession

Defense
1. punt-win for the defense
2. defensive td -win for the entire team
3. forced turn over on downs -win for the defense

Offense

1. punt- loss for the offense
2. punt - loss for the offense
3. td- win for the offense
4. punt- loss for the offense (needed a single first down to win the game

You're expecting the defense to be perfect while not acknowledging the shite offense
