Regarding the Face-mask, it looked to me Smith grabbed his shoulder and that spun the QB around giving the impression of a FM. I did not see Smith’s hand on the mask at all. Maybe I missed something?

You aren’t.
This is correct
This board is so influenced by announcers they thought there was indisputable evidence that Thomas didn’t make the catch vs OM

Quantity =/= Quality. LSU's penalties were significantly more consequential than Missouri's.

So you are posting about how the penalties were one sided without even looking at the other side?
Posted on 10/8/23 at 11:56 am to Tiger1988
Yeah refs blew balls yesterday. I’ll never say they had an agenda, they were just that stupid.

No. There were just laughably bad calls (or non-calls) that affected both teams. If one team had a bad call or two more, it was just random.

Well, the crew missed Smith's face mask on his sack.

quote:go rewatch it. He never grabbed it. His hand was there because the QB ducked his head. It was AT MOST unintentional because it was at the head or neck area EXCEPT he ducked his head.
Did you miss the facemask that wasn’t called? That was gigantic.
The Oline movement was blatant. The no call on that long third down run that kept a drive alone which was on the left side. The long pass play on the second of third derives that was missed on the right side that allowed for a first down where the TE or tackle hooked our guy.
All score impacts.
It wasn’t even because Mizzou was blatantly

That’s still a 15 yard penalty.

You’re such a dolt.

Completely disagree about bias by the refs.
I think it was obvious that was the most incompetent group of officials I’ve ever watched do an lsu game.
So many bad calls near the goal line
Missed Mason smith face mask sack
Kept calling stupid penalties when either defense would simply clap their hands together.
They were horrendous

They did have 3 penalties for 3 yards, including an unsportsmanlike foul. That is really hard to do.
The call that I still can’t understand was on JD5’s sneak for a touchdown. It didn’t matter because we scored eventually, but he was on top of 2 OL & half of his body is over the goal line. I don’t know how the guys on the field missed it, but was the replay guy taking a leak? That is the reason we have replay.

A dirty Missouri player wrapped his arms around JD's head while he was being tackled and completely pulled his helmet off. That should have been a personal foul if not a face mask. Did you happen to see that?
Posted on 10/8/23 at 2:37 pm to Tiger1988
The No calls are even worse.

He grabbed the face mask. No question.

quote:never grabbed him. Hand brushed it because if he ducked his head and his hand slipped off his shoulder pad. That’s why it wasn’t called. When I said “unintentional”, I meant he unintentionally brushed his face mask which is not a penalty when in context for the situation with the QB. He never grabbed his face mask.
That’s still a 15 yard penalty.
