The ineligible receiver penalty while only 5 yards had a huge impact on the game - it took us out of field goal range, lead to a punt rather than a field goal at minimum and gave Houston enough time to score. That penalty alone was a huge swing in the game - a possible 14 point swing.

Typical lsu fans…always the officials fault.

I did not see an ineligible player downfield on Sharp's reception.
I'm looking closely at the formation.
Seven players are on the line of scrimmage. This is a legal formation.
Trey'Dez Green is on the line of scrimmage, covered, and ineligible.
Bauer Sharp is off of the line of scrimmage and eligible.
Trey'Dez Green and the five linemen are behind the line of scrimmage when the ball is thrown.
There is no ineligible player downfield.

Yes, they missed it even after discussing it at length
It did likely affect the outcome of the game. Instead of leading 17-14 at H, they trailed 21-14.
But this crew of officials was in line with most everything else in this game. The contestants and announcers alike.
It wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously.

Could Frank have had a review of that?

Bauer Sharp was not covered up, therefore, he was an eligible receiver and the catch should have stood.

They weren't all legit. DPI right before the half was simply the wrong call. It was clearly an OPI by the receiver. It's unlikely Houston would have scored a TD on the drive had it been correctly called

Not talking about that play

penalties. PI should not be called on a non-catchable ball.
Why was the ball uncatchable?
Because the D-Back cut off the route and kept the receiver from proceeding up field.
Perhaps it should have been holding rather than PI, but it was absolutely a penalty.

Wrong.
The "illegal formation" call on Sharp cost LSU a score and gave UH the ball back with enough time before half to score. That was a 10-14 point swing and that was a blatantly bad call.
We have seen some amazing game fixing as SEC fans. These guys were amateurs and that call showed it. At least make up a fake holding call or something if you are swaying a game. Calling something so obvious was laughable. One of them was clearly betting on the game.
