It will be interesting to see if any Murray St. players follow him to Baton Rouge. His best player and OVC POY is KJ Williams from Cleveland, MS. His second leading scorer, Tevin Brown, is from Fairhope, AL. His third leading scorer and PG, Justice Brown, is from Little Rock. Those cities are all closer to Baton Rouge than Murray, Kentucky

Auburn fans in the Twitter replies are clamoring for Brown to transfer there

tGeneral will always hold a special place in my heart. He rebuilt a dead program and resurrected an absolutely DEAD fanbase.
I will support Coach McMahon but I will also be expecting him to play high level basketball sanctions or not. Wade's first year is a blue print for this. Wade found any way to win with a depleted and limited roster and if we didn't win, his team played HARD his first year.
No one knows what possible sanctions or anything looks like now but in a perfect world, no sanctions and a slap on the wrist, McMahon needs to be held to the same standard that Coach Wade set on the court. That is playing hard, playing fast, winning 18 games a year and consistently getting us in the NCAA tournament and not just every 3 years. We need to be contenders every single year to get in the tournament.
Good luck Coach. That said, I won't hesitate to hold your AD accountable. I just truly hope this isn't another punt on LSU being relevant in hoops. I am tired of the days of only expecting a nice team every 3 or 4 years before Wade showed up. McMahon and Woodward need to be held to a high standard. The portal is the great equalizer so there is no excuse. We may not win alot year 1 but he needs to show us that his teams here can play hard and that his style has potential when we get out of this tough period.

Glad we got an up and coming coach over a retread. This was always gonna be a tough hire, would rather roll the dice on a young guy.

My biggest takeaway. The idea of landing a big fish was never a possibility.

Seriously. Apparently CRT calls for hiring white coaches.

Probably already been answered but any chance he brings any grad transfers with him? Dependent upon postseason ban of course

Disagree. SW knows to a high degree of certainty what the future holds regarding sanctions.
WW is an immature coach and never commanded respect which led to undisciplined play and individualism.

We hire exclusively from the list of names of comic book alter egos.

Im just happy we hired someone quick that can maybe salvage the team and recruiting class.

Really admire anyone that can come into a situation like this and see the potential. I already like the guy just for wanting to come here, knowing he probably wouldn’t have to wait long for another opportunity.

Cool don't tell his former players that or recruits families who all said he commanded respect. You know it is possible to be cautiously optimistic about the hire and still like Wade right? You know that you have way better arguments you could make on Wade than "Immature coach and never commanded respect" lmao. What weak bullshite when Charles Barkley and people like the Watfords and his entire 2018-19 SEC Champion team says Wade commands respect.
And clearly by no one knows what possible sanctions or anything looks like I clearly fricking mean the fanbase and the rest of the basketball world
