That's a case of the Wednesday blues talking you don't mean that!

Josh Schertz, Saint Louis and Jerrod Calhoun, Utah State will be the two big mid-major names.
Just my opinion but Schertz won't even be a consideration for us because he can do better.

It is his first season, but he’s been under and learned from 3-4 good coaches like grant Mcaskill, it’s impressive cause he’s doing basically the same thing Wade did in this conference with lesser talent. He won’t be there long though cause I’ve been seeing him appear on more and more coaching shows as the season has moved forward. I just really like his age, mentors, and if ya watch that video he sets really high goals for his team to achieve and you can tell he believes it.

there is one choice and we all know who it is. we need to get it done not only to win, but to right wrongs.

If it can’t be Wade, then this would be my choice. Seems pretty charismatic and like it was stated earlier, he has ties to the South. I think he would be attainable and would jump at an SEC job. He gives off Dan Hurley vibes to me and I say that as a good thing.

Would be cool if we could get College Football's version of Prime.

I would be willing to discuss my services with the ad.

From all accounts, there's some donor fatigue. I don't think we need to swing for the fences. We need good pedigree, someone who the young guys know (ie a young coach) and roll the dice.

Cause they’ve never done that before.

Again....live in reality.
Alll I said was ask. Saban returned to college coaching. They lose nothing by asking. It will take a big splash to get them back to championship contention meaning top four in the league.

Wade will be a target and he will have the best resume of anyone LSU has even a remotely reasonable chance of hiring. Beyond that, the mid-major ranks is likely where LSU's next HC will come from.
Reasonable post is reasonable.

ATL, I know not a lot of people on this board know about him, but he’s starting to turn heads in the coaching world, your good at researching, check out the coaches he’s been under and what he’s accomplishing right now. Matt Brauer
The pedigree is good coming from Grant McCasland's staff (at two stops). The concern is that this is his first and only season as a HC. He's had a great year, but it's at a school in a 1-bid conference. Even then, SFA has played a really weak schedule (330+ in SOS). He might be the next Wade. He might even be much, much, better. However, I don't know if one season worth of results is worth the risk.
You look at a guy like McCasland. He'd been a HC at multiple different levels for 14 years before TTU hired him (side note, he would have come to LSU in 2022 if offered...I guess Woodward didn't get that far in his internet search). Even Wade had 4 years as a HC, at a higher level, before LSU hired him.

He also played for Greg Marshall and this season in the southland Mcneese is still very good and has a pretty clear talent edge over SFA. If he’s able to win the regular season then the tourney in LC it’ll say a lot and somebody is going to come calling. Coaches know who this guy is and he’s gonna be a hot name if he gets to the dance.

Chris Beard – proven big-time winner
1. I do not think that the state of Mississippi could survive LSU stealing another one of Ole Miss's coaches.
2. Ole Miss is just as bad as LSU this year. So no.

Dusty May – modern offense, Final Four credibility
He ain't leaving Michigan to come to LSU.

Ryan Odom – smart up-and-coming coach
Interesting possibility but I doubt he leaves Virginia.
