If it's Tate, I am absolutely done. Told my soon to be sophomores to pack their shite and find a new school. He is way too woke. Looks like a STEM expert but is a sociologist - wolf in sheep's clothing.

Yeah I fully expect it to be Tate. His expertise in critical race theory is like a shining beacon for many in higher education right now.
That said, I hope they choose the man who is BEST for the job and not the one who will simply pacify the media and woke mob.

The twitter comments on that are hilarious
A lady whose picture is a cat with a Santa hat and another guy who describes himself as a socialist banjo player have a problem with the list.

He isn’t a STEM expert at all. He uses STEM as the basis for his CRT “research”. He’s an expert at racial grievance.
The fact that he’s a finalist at all tells you everything you need to know about LSU’s priorities.

The fact a critical race professor is one of the final candidates is downright frightening

Just to give you an idea of what LSU hs become, one of their final candidates is a professor in this, with many works published
Critical Race Theory is loosely unified by two common themes:
First, that white supremacy (societal racism) exists and maintains power through the law.
Second, that transforming the relationship between law and racial power, and also achieving racial emancipation and anti-subordination more broadly, are possible
I can’t imagine Lester even agrees with CRT

Droegemeier was a Trump appointee. The lib faculty would squeal like pigs.

Is Jim Henderson close with Billy Napier? Just asking.

Yeah I’m hoping LSU named that woke candidate as a finalist to appease the DOE in the Title IX investigation.
If so, that’s a clever move from LSU and it’s BOS which makes me dubious this is the case.

Tate's publications are a litany of woke fertilizer. Hard pass. The last thing LSU and LA needs right now.

I like and respect Jim Henderson, but the list is disappointing. Given Louisiana's decisions to chronically underfund higher education, the infrastructure challenges and the scandals, maybe this is the best we could expect.
Henderson is at least accustomed to the territory.

Use your brain Byorn, the same feds investigating Title IX will be of the woke ilk as the woke candidate. Race was not mentioned anywhere.

Here's one vote for the woke candidate.

I certainly will not donate anymore to LSU if it brings in CRT at any point.takong your kids out and letting them know why is fantastic. Hopefully more parents do so
Posted on 4/28/21 at 11:44 am to Geauxldilocks
The two literally have nothing to do with each other. It's a moronic statement.
