how is ford the #1. he cant pass block, and he has fumbled a few times this year.

Blue
Ware
Ford
Hilliard
Magee

hilliard may move up, but he needs more carries before i move him up.

The best part is every week someone says thats the next great rb. Well they are all great rbs. I wont be surprised if neither if them ever bust 1000yds in a season.

But u guys underestimate how vicious and punishing Ware is. He softens up defenses so Ford and Ware can run free.

i hope this myth dies out pretty quickly

Ford, Magee and Blue have the ability to run away from defenses. Hilliard and Ware punish people when they run. All are needed. All are capable.

ford and magee are way ahead of blue in the big play potential department

blue is just a solid back. jack of all trades, master of none. he's not a bruiser. he's not really that fast. he's real tall and it hurts his COD. but he's solid in all the areas. he's faster than ware, but more powerful than ford/magee.

he's a good backup/sub guy

big myth. He runs tough but a lot of times it is up our OL's back.

i hope Ware doesnt play baseball this year and gets his body ready for football. His feet look slow and he looks a little bloated. I think those improvements could make up for his average vision.

At this moment id play hilliard more than ware as he is outperforming him in the "big back" role. Ford needs the second most carries as he brings a different style. Blue and magee as number 4 and 5 respectively, gives lsu the strongest and deepest backfield in the nation.

Hilliard is making a case that he should be our lead back.

Hilliard's footwork has gotten much better. For a guy 235# or whatever, he's shifty.

not a guy you want to tackle in teh 4th qtr.

Its funny how fickle fans are. I got my arse ripped to shreds a couple of months ago for having the temerity to say Ford is better than Ware. Now many people don't even have Ware in their top 2?

ware's play has slid this year. i dunno if he's hurt, worn down, or just having a long funk

rantards love power backs, even if speed backs are more productive

My list based on overall ability:

1. Hilliard (best combo of power, vision, speed)
2. MaGee (a great inside runner)
3. Ware (a punisher, looks a step slower this season)
4. Ford (a great outside runner, improving between tackles, poor blocker)
5. Blue (looks great against poor defenses, but runs too vertical to be great against good rush D's)

I think the coaches realize that Ware has worn down after A LOT of big hits this year. The rest will do him a ton of good going into the BCSCG.

You're right. It's just really weird how these guys get on one player so much that they don't seem to even acknowledge the abilities of any other player at that position. Then when another player "steps up" they drop their original favorite and have a man crush on their new fav.

There is no need to rank the top 4. They are all special and capable of dominating the opponent. They have all contributed to our 12-0 record. And the scary part is, they will all be back in 2012. Ranking them is just a popularity thing and should be avoided.
