"Community service is part of the responsibility of being an LSU baseball player," coach Paul Mainierisaid. "It's important that our players interact with the public and attempt to make a positive impact upon the lives of others. It's a very rewarding experience, and it gives our players a greater appreciation of their own lives."
The Tigers log over 400 hours of community service each academic year. The team regularly participates in children's hospital visits in the Baton Rouge area, meeting with patients and their families while signing autographs, posing for pictures and lifting their spirits.
The Tigers also take part in reading programs at local elementary and middle schools, encouraging students to enhance their reading and studying skills.

When is the ladt time vandy had a player like dean or someone who can just take over the game? They win pitching a defense. Vandy is a real college ball club.
Vandy batted .313 last season (9th in the country), 19th in scoring averaging 7 runs a game. LSU batted .305 last season (19th in the country) and 38th in scoring with 6.5 runs a game
Tony Kemp finished 13th in the country in batting average at .391. (dean batted .341, .328, .353, and .316 despite having the old bats)
LSU finished 3rd in ERA and 6th in fielding % at .98. Vandy finished 12th in ERA and 18th in Fielding % with .977.
Josh already proved you wrong on your close games BS. LSU is very very good in them and have been since 2008 when we pulled off that winning streak

Before the Ole Miss series, they traveled to St. Jude in Memphis too

I can't believe this thread went on that long last night.

I can't believe this thread went 43 pages and I was the only person to make a ranking of the coaches

Dammit tad. Obvious bump is obvious

I promise you I didn't bump for no reason. I just got home and read the final few pages and still was shocked I wasn't getting people to rank the coaches.

Mostly not having the team fully prepared for situations
Since you picked Saban as the best football coach and you say the best coaches are the ones that always have their players prepared and are coach's players I'll say this: I haven't read ahead to see if anyone has mentioned this yet buuuut, you mean like Saban vs Auburn last year? First he made a bad decision kicking the field goal, then he didn't prepare his team on covering the kick, THEN he threw his players under the bus after the game.

Let's now go ahead and put Tim Corbin at the front of this list

And if LSU wins it next year is Mainieri #1? What if Florida wins it?

Go back and read everything. You will understand. This is an lsu board. Of course maineri is going to be nu,beé one.. T, Corbin in a better coach, manger, recruiter, and teacher of the game than maineri and quite frankly the talent at Vanderbilt is prepared better for the big leagues. Look at the guys who got drafted from vandy while Tim Corbin has been there. Case closed

He's soooo much classier than PM and LSU too, huh?

You're on a fricking roll today.

Ranking Corbin and Mainieri ahead of each other is splitting hairs.

Knowing a good bit of lsu players personally, I'd have to say without a doubt that vandy is the classier bunch

Mainieri is NOT #1.
ETA: There are at least 10 coaches on this list that would've handled the pitching situation better in the Regional.
