So the author's sources were: RP, and his high school coach? That's some great journalism.

didn't his mom also try to shake down (like cam newton's pop at au) miles and lsu?
I remember matt f. being patient until his FIFTH year. (and, very professional from gb to oak to buf and back to gb!)
everybody gets more and more chances. I wish him the best. I only screwed up abot 30 chances in my life. I straigtened up in my 40's.

p.s. this story can be repeated for years to remind posters that miles is a coach of integrity.

What finally did in RP at LSU was two failed drug tests. And not for some weed either. I have it from an administrator who is still with LSU that he blatently challenged Miles authority and it was either let Ryan go or lose control of the program.

lol. TM7, RP, Jeremy Hill get 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, chances..
less important players get 1, 2 chances and they're gone

I can't speak to TPOS, but without question, RP was a cancer on the LSU program, and appears to take no responsibility for his conduct while at LSU.

ITT people still hate RP even though he could've won LSU a heisman and another Title (and hell, because of him we won at least one). Yet they love the confidence of LF coming in saying he'll win a heisman his freshman year as well as a NC. The fact is LSU fans make their minds up one way or another and that's that. I knew RP during that whole BR media shite show and you know what? He was a nice guy. He is a nice guy. It's a goddam shame LSU fans do this to their own
(another Title) This is questionable at best (could've won LSU a heisman) and this would had been highly improbable.

he had, probably close to 10 chances.

This article disgusted me. Perrilloux single handedly set LSU's football program back 2 years. Perrilloux should remain invisible and continue to "disappear" as the writer of this article says. He should have never been given this podium to blame everyone else but himself and call Coach Miles a liar.
All I see from Perrilloux are excuses and pure arrogance. It's obvious that he has talent, but the excuses and arrogance probably prevented him from making it in the NFL team. He probably made excuses for every bad play he had and blamed it on someone else. go figure.

And one more thing about this article, Perrilloux blames his "acting out" in spring 2008 on the fact that he only got to play 2 plays in the NC game. he also talks about how he cried after because he didn't get to play more. He didn't even celebrate his team winning a NC because he a selfish, arrogant, total POS.
So then you act out the next semester whenever you know that you are going to be the starting QB? WORST EXCUSE EVER. JUST MAN UP AND SAY THAT YOU WERE AN IMMATURE IDIOT.

his article is horrible is nothing but a pack of lies. It reads like a big lie and is completely impossible.
Let's get this straight: An all-world QB who could potentially win multiple Heismans and National Championships gets kicked off of a team who only had Andrew Hatch and Jarrett Lee because he "acted out" a bit and missed a team meeting and a couple of classes?
Whatever.
Then, this amazing all-world QB can't get picked up anywhere - even in minor league football or the CFL because he is being blackballed because he missed a few classes/meetings in the Spring of 2008?
You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me.
How did this article even make it out of the writer's brain?
Everyone says that Ryan is the next Tony Romo, but he can't get a chance because everyone is against him.
And, he can't play in the CFL because he can't get his passport together.
Once he shows up, he can't beat anyone out because everyone lied to him or because of something else.
Now, he is trying to play Arena football.
Man, if RP would have stayed at LSU 2 more years, we would have had him AND Jordan Jefferson on the team at the same time. Could you imagine the excuses for everything that would have gone wrong?
This article makes no sense. You can either make it or you can't.
Did the writer leave out him being interviewed by the secret service?
