yet you can't even post one?
I find it sadly hilarious that even the most staunch O fans cannot bring themselves to put Orgeron above 5.
These same people probably would have put Miles at 14 at the beginning of the 2016 season.

Ok, nitwit, where do you rank him?

O would've won that division that muschamp won with last year's lsu.
I mean, Florida's only loss in the regular season was to UGA, who ended up going to Atlanta. Florida, UGA and South Carolina all finished in the top 10 that year.
It's a reach to say Orgeron would've won that division with any certainty. Particularly with our squad last season.

Regarding the bad losses, you're right that they aren't comparable. Muschamp lost to an fcs school. That didn't complete a forward pass.
Has anyone said it wasn't a bad loss? It's not like Georgia Southern ever cared about throwing the ball anyway.
If you recall, they ran on the 2011 Bama team like "shite through a tin horn", in the words of Saban.

hey look, common ground
I don't know if you actually attended LSU because you don't strike me as a particularly bright person, but being a student there in 2006, I remember no shortage of fans who were happy to see Jumbo go and that Miles struck gold replacing him with the wizard Gary Crowton.
weird how 10 years later people look at coaches differently...reminds me of another coach whos perception has changed from 10 years ago.

LSU has too many unknowns at the moment. Along with the fact that the best win in CEO's HC is against Auburn '17. He really doesn't deserve to be ranked very high tbh.

That list is dogshit not even taking O into account. Derek Mason and Mark Stoops LOL.

Thanks for asking, but I don't like these polls b/c they don't usually tell you much about the criteria used.
However, in the interest of not avoiding the question, I would suggest that he belongs somewhere near the bottom of the conference b/c I cannot see another school wanting to hire him.
My criteria would include the following:
1. integrity;
2. Maturity;
3. Judgment;
4. X's and O's acumen;
5. recruiting results and ability;
6. abilities as a spokesman and "face' of the university;
7. motivator;
8. track record in football, including wins and losses as HC.
Da Coach O would not do well by my criteria.

My criteria would include the following: 1. integrity; "It's Matt's offense" - Orgeron
2. Maturity - guy rips his shirt off still
3. Judgment "changing someone's offense when he has zero expertise on that side of the ball;
4. X's and O's acumen - next
5. recruiting results and ability - Solid
6. abilities as a spokesman and "face' of the university - we're a punchline because of him
7. motivator; does well when he has to circle the wagons, not as well dealing with expectations
8. track record in football, including wins and losses as HC. Da Coach O would not do well by my criteria. - word

Is Will fricking Muschamp that much better than O? and Mark Stoops?

The lack of acknowledgement of how little respect Orgeron has among coaches and writers is amazing.
It’s not the so-called “haters” it’s anyone with the small exception of O fans, not necessarily LSU m fans who don’t see how Oregron is actually viewed by college football as a HC.
This is just one piece and I would put O ahead of Luke but that’s the respect O earned as HC at OM.

I like how Jimbo (who tanked in the ACC last season, despite playing teams with less talent than his own) and Mullen (whose only coaching accomplishment was getting Moo U to a top 5 ranking before nosediving in the second half of that season) are both ranked ahead of Kirby, who coached his team to the playoffs in only his second year. Solid list.

You over estimate the numbers. No one ourtside of LSU fans care, one way or the other.
Do you agree with the rankings? Obviously the writer of this article didn't care (exclude O from the list) enough to put serious thought into the rankings. Other posters have made valid critiques of the list. See above.

Not good news for Tiger fans.
Why is it bad news? Because some writer for a Tennessee fan site said so?
I’m not even arguing the validity of the ranking. Was he a good coach until this guy said so?

i'm not sure if ed will ever be a good coach

Cmon. This list is just stupid. Jimbo has proven NOTHING as a HC in the SEC.
