The things scouts will mention as negatives are not going to go away with another year. Sometimes it's better just to see what happens. Not sure how much he would help himself with another year. He don't have the physical tools to get draft super high.

He just had a huge season and has over 1,300 snaps here. He's shown who he is at this point. Not every player has 1st round talent.
It’s honestly amazing how much our fans have bought into the “3 and done” regardless of the situation.

He better add 20 - 25 pounds and keep his speed.

Not really. He’s what he’ll be.

That's the part of the culture that needs to change the most

im guessing its a weed thing. If he is gonna have to sit out 6 games from weed then it makes sense. Grades wouldnt because he could clear that up in the spring and be ready for summer and fall training w/o issues. It has to be weed suspension

That is the double-edged sword of early playing time. A kid who gets a lot of time as a freshman and does well has three years of tape by his junior year and the scouting report is pretty dialed in. A junior who has maybe only started for a year and a half likely has more to gain by playing another full season.

If he doesn't think he can put on 15 lbs of good weight at LSU and improve his draft stock then more power to him I guess

That’s been our culture for years. Go pro whether you’re ready or not.
This is what you get when you recruit kids that probably are not capable of doing college level school work

This is truly a bad decision by him. Hed have been our top cover option next year and had a chance to make himself some really good guaranteed money.

It started under Les. They sell LSU as "NFLSU" - a magical NFL farm team that rapidly turns high school superstars into NFL prospects quickly. They place no focus on LSUs traditions, culture, education, school pride, or commitment to winning championships. They ask recruits for the minimum commitment, then fist bump each other after a redshirt sophomore with a 4th round grade declares.
Its all about getting in and out as quick as possible.

90% of LSU players leaving early dont need to. They usually go as undrafted free agents.

I’m not the guy you replied to, but I’ll do the work out of curiosity. According to LSUSports.net, here’s where our early entrants since 2010 have gone:
- 1st round: 14
- 2nd round: 11
- 3rd round: 9
- 4th round: 5
- 5th round: 2
- 6th round: 1
- 7th round: 2
- Undrafted: 9
- Total: 53
So we’ve had considerably more early entrants go in the first and second rounds (47%) than we have had go in the 7th round or undrafted (21%). Historically, they certainly have not “usually” gone as undrafted free agents.

eh, many of those kids had the measurables, athletic ability, and potential to get drafted
lsu underachieved many years with how much talent got drafted over the years (prior to 2019) and all signs pointed to coaching
