Apparently the number 1 receiver is happy with the OC - in advance! There are some dumbasses on this board.

So they waited to purposely leak false info and conduct a fake search just to fool the fan base? Does that make anyone else not like this snake oil salesman even more?

Yep.

I'm just not buying the apocalyptic, pollyanna BS either. We very well may crash and burn in 2018. I'm just not so sure. There is plenty to look forward to unless you chose not to.

So the upside of this season is set at "not crashing and burning?"

Never thought I'd see the day LSU fans bitching about hiring an OC that's broke records.
with another coach's players and another coach's playbook.

Look, Ensminger did pretty well taking over for Cam, but I'd argue just about anybody could've done the same, once the shackles of the Les/Cam offense were removed.

The true test will come when Ensminger's offense is completely his own.

Should we let recruits decide other staff? Does he sign off on the ST coach? Would it have changed things if he was unhappy with Steve? Did he say he didn't want to play in a Freeze, Briles, Cumbie, etc?
Did any recruits really want to play for Canada?

It really just shows that most can’t help them self but focus on the negative and completely pick apart every detail until they fill they have made their point. Which I assume is not possible,

What’s funny to me is LSU fans have for years said

“Why don’t we have more 3 and 4 WR sets”
“Play Brennan he’s obviously better”
“More tempo.... the only way yo be Bama is to have more tempo”
“We need to be throwing more when the defenses doesn’t expect us too”

Now we have a coach and an offensive coordinator that literally stood in front of the entire world and when asked about what kind of offense we would run said the following...

Orgeron
As for what type of offense LSU will run, Coach O suggested it would be a multiple-look offense that adapts to the skill-set of the players. “We will have quarterback runs. We have two guys that are excellent runners at quarterback. We’ll run from a spread offense with those guys… We have one of the best pure passers coming out of football in a while that we signed here at LSU in Myles Brennan. We’ll have a short, quick controlled passing game… We’ll throw the ball to the tight end, we’ll take shots, throw the ball deep, and utilize what he does best.”

We’re going to be mainly out of a spread offense, one-back. This offense is what every LSU fan has been wanting, and I’m going to give it to them.”

Ensminger
Speaking a little more to the direction we’ll see this offense going in, Ensminger said the wide receiver position is the strength of this year’s offense and he’s going to take advantage of that. “We have depth there (at wide receiver) that we haven’t had in a couple of years. I think we have to put 3-4 receivers on the field, we have to be an RPO (run-pass-option) team… We have to do some no-huddle. That’s the direction we’re going… We can be in three-wide sets and still be physical and run off of it.”

It’s just funny that there are a lot of really positive things to look at with our football program but people continuesly get caught up in the group-think of the rant and just fall in line.

Orgeron's always been very skilled at saying what people want to hear. A lot of what he says sounds amazing.

I just look at the results and ask when has he ever delivered? He said that his OM offenses would look like USC. What we saw was three years of an offense never ranking higher than 97th.

Well one is actually a DL coach. For Nick Saban no less. Must not be too stupid.

Dec. 22. 9 days before the bowl game. 14 days before Canada left. Almost 3 weeks before Ensminger was announced.

Ask Hodson how he liked playing football his senior year as his Heisman hopes crashed quickly and the losses mounted due to him being surrounded by a talent level that continued to spiral downward under Archer.

Ask him that.
