I didn't say anything about the SEC Tournament
But there is zero chance that Kim Mulkey finds the regular season conference championship meaningless. No coach has a coaching philosophy as, "the only thing that matters is winning a national championship". If she does, it means she's been a failure 21 times in her 25 year career.
And let's not act like Mulkey just lives in the Final Four. She's been 5 times in her 25 year career. That's nothing to sneeze at for sure, but LSU women's program went to the Final Four more times in the same time frame than Kim when she was at Baylor. So let's not say "Mulkey just uses the regular season to build her team for the postseason."

Regarding the Baylor comparison, Lane Kiffin says hello.

Your quote is just an excuse for regular season failures. If LSU doesn't make the Final Four this year we will pretty much be a one hit wonder. All the talent that rolled through here the last 5 years and only one Final Four would be a disappointment. South Carolina and UConn live at the Final Four. LSU loses several millions of dollars a year with women's basketball. If we aren't winning SEC titles and making Final Fours then what's the point?
What does Dawn Staley do? 9 SEC Championships, 7 Final Fours in 17 years at South Carolina. So you can win in both the regular season and the postseason.

Well mulkey may retire after this year so everyone on this board will be happy

Fricking idiot
Mulkey isn't infallible and it's fair to offer legit criticism.

The terrible coaching, IMO, is that we haven't developed good ball handlers or passers. We commit way too many TOs with stupid passes, or just losing the dribble. And God help us when we get really pressured. We look like the ball is a hot potato and no one wants it so let me hurry and pass to someone else And that often leads to a TO. We don't have anyone except Jada that can handle well enough underpressure. If Fulwiley can't split teh D and get to the rim she is a candidate for TO under pressure. And FJ4 bounces about 4' high and MW12 just doesn' t have a good handle. Love watching them when they are clicking but this has been a problem for 2-3 years.Gotta get lots better to make a SEC Tourney run or Elite 8

At what level have you played and coached to have become an expert?

Dawn and Geno are outstanding. No one is arguing Dawn's 17 year accomplishments.
Dude, I'll take Kim any day over any coach.
Kim, Geno and Dawn are all ELITE

Kim is not in the same class of Dawn and Geno, not even close

Williams was swapped to the 4 for just that reason. They couldn’t get her a ball. This game was lost by Richard and fuiweily (sp) that’s it.
Then there was a shite load of fouls that were called and LSU never adjusted to the physical play. You can coach ball rehearsal and do all those things, but the offense was completely fricking shut out because the two guards on Texas‘s team especially the ones that came in off the bench beat their fricking arse. The bigger guard who played very little in the first game, they had no answer for.
frick you can’t have six turnovers by one point guard. That’s where your game is lost.

I’m not particularly upset. Kim packed it in about halfway through the fourth and let the players figure it out for themselves. Don’t fault her for not calling a TO.
Our problem is we don’t have enough size. Knox is tough as nails and ZJohnson is effective but they are not true bigs. We are always underdog-undersized against the elite teams. We need big tough bigs. Kim has unfortunately not found another Britney Griner.
Don’t think we have a chance to grab a one seed. We likely hold on to the projected two. This team is definitely Elite Eight. We will win our two tourney games at home and win the sweet sixteen game. Having to beat Texas, SC, UConn or UCLA to reach the Final Four? Probably not gonna happen.
