Just as a reminder to everyone, tigerbaitlawyer said Woodward wasn’t on speaking terms with O and wouldn’t let him fire coaches with buyouts this off-season. That was after Vol predicted big changes to the staff were coming, which was before the season ended.
I’m not saying Vol is in the same league as TBL, but even if it was luck, he still got him on this one.

I had a bad feeling we might not fire Pelini this year because of money issues until the Bama debacle. Forget the athletic dept. I’m sure some of the businesses of big boosters are also suffering due to the pandemic. I think it became inevitable after that game, though.
$4 mil was a lot to pay to make that fool go away. Very happy to have been wrong though, because Pelini was worse than Malvetto in 08 and absolutely deserved it. Our boosters deserve credit for being willing to erase O and Woodward’s mistake.
